1. I can't believe Jim Carrey is doing a film with animated-fuckin-penguins.
2. I can't believe how shite Captain America was.
3. I can't believe they've done a remake of Conan The Barbarian.
4. I didn't think film could get much shitter than it already was at present.
5. I was wrong and film has become much worse than it already was.

Oh - Film4 is having a horror season at the moment which has been good :) So it's not all bad news =D

So FINAL DESTINATION 5 Through the movie i wasnt exactly on the edge of my seat like some of the prior FD films wondering how they were going to die but this one was slightly different from the rest and if you have seen them all and watch it you will know why because if you love a twist this one has a whopper at the end of it that i say well done to the writers for , some of you may think nothing of it but when i realized what the twist was i was like holy shit nice one

So yeah some less intense death moments but a nice change in the story with a twist i liked .

Worth the watch !

One i forgot about was BLITZ with Jason Stathom who i used to love watching but thought had lost his touch recently , the movie is not bad but the ending is what brings back the true Jason Stathom style film if you was in to his earlier things

I love "trashy horror" like the Final Destination flicks. So I should imagine I'll enjoy number 5.
Not sure if I've seen number 4 yet... Probably haven't.

4 was the 3D one out in 2009 , my mate had never seen a 3D film before and i was just out of rehab at the time so i thought fuck it come on lets go see it as it was around his birthday too, was funny as fuck watching him dodge shit flying out the screen at him xD

Jeeeez the poor bloke! Haha!
There'll no doubt be a showing on Channel / Film 4 of number 4 at some point so I'll catch it then ;)

I must admit i think 3D ruins alot of films cos the director concentrates on that more than the rest which is more important like the acting etc but Final Destination 3D was done very well the way they used the 3D in it because it really did feel like shit was going to hit you at times ,i think if i had not been to a 3D film before i would of been like him lol

I thought THOR was total bollocks, actually, just extremely dull and formulaic with zero character development and lousy acting. I even turned it off before the end which I've only ever done a handful of times before (with 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels', 'Fade to Black' and 'Hellraiser 2'). Hopkins seems to have fallen into a trap of playing the venerable weathered old veteran in just about anything. If Eddie Murphy wasn't playing every role in the upcoming Hong Kong Phooey film I'd expect Hopkins to turn up as his dad, and even then I'm half expecting to see him. They should give other actors of a pensionable age a chance to play these roles really; whenever I see him I just think 'oh, look, it's Anthony Hopkins playing himself again'.

I recently really enjoyed 'Source Code' which a lot of people are slating. Of course the premise makes no sense whatsoever and it's got more holes than a particularly lightweight Emmental, but I thought they did the right thing by not explaining the technology - after all, it couldn't possibly make sense - and my only real complaint was the last 15 minutes which torpedoed what little coherence there was and had blatantly been tacked on after focus groups had had a squint at the original movie. It's not clever or anything but it's reasonably exciting.

Watched Source Code the other night K'd out my brains after a 400mg line. Couldn't quite understand it all and at one point felt a bit like I was in the film :D, but overall good movie. Worth a watch at least.

Also watched the Adjustment Bureau which I'd advise anyone thinking off to set fire to the disk and see how far you can skim it along the sea bed. Utter pile of toss about politicians and very boring, I turned it off after watching 3/4 of the movie.

ASSASSINATION GAMES Personally i thought this was going to be alot like( The Tournament http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0471041/ ) which if you have not seen is a brilliant film with Robert Carlyle who get mixed up in an assassination tournament of scheme where people bet for who they think will be the last standing assassin fighting it out to the end between each other but assassination games was very different staring MR Van Dam who i havnt seen for many years as i could tell by seeing the age of him so in this there wasnt his usual kick boxing style action film it was more about assassins being played against each other, then working together and double crossing each other , its based around a mob boss who is released from jail who raped and put one of the characters newly wed wife in a coma by beating her after a number of his men raped her. The husband heard of his release and was on a personal vandeta and Jaun Claude was hired to kill the mob boss so there was a clash between the killers and as i said there is then team work double crossing and set ups .

And for some of the brits here we even see an old eastenders face you may recognize if you had a GF like me at the time who forced you to watch it every damn night who plays a part in this also as some greedy copper that lost money while the rape took place so you see him and his dirty pigs take place as a small part too

Well worth a watch !

Uninhabited Here we have an aussie film which i often am fond of as the last few have been based on real life events like The Reef which was good too, the reef was about a shark that followed a bunch of people in the waters off of queensland i believe about 16 years ago killing them one by one but leaving one survivor and one person who they never found on the upturned boat, the one person they found just as she finally found land , the film is slightly different from the real story but much more scary than JAWS because the fact is it actually happened ,id be scared shitless because the great white is my fav and most respected animal

The Reef http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1320291/

So UNINHABITED is again as i say a film from the limies based on true events but this is more freaky than a shark following you around because a shark you hve the chance to try get away from but the goings on in this film you have no hope ,im not sure exactly what was entirely fact in the film but i know the story its based on is a small island where there was a young girl who stood on a stone fish which if you do your done for cos they are one of the most poisoning fish out there and very hard to see but have these spikes on there back and if u mistake it fora stone or rock and stand on it the spike injects poison in to you instantly , i actually watched a docmunetary about them a while back and as said you have 30 mins and if no vaccination bye bye so as the story goes a young girl many years ago stood on one and when she went back to the hut where they worked inat the time while the island was useed for fishing all the guys raped her and watched her die after and ever since that day there was a log book left of stories of people that visited the island who all wrote of a ghost of a young girl that murdered their friends partners etc .. in the fil, they show you a couple that go with a camera so i guess they got some of the evidence from that as u will see if you watch the film , i for one have lived in a very haunted part of scotland and have seen some very weird shit happen that couldnt be explained and made me so freaked out i got me and my ex out of that village ASAP and in to a new house as far away as possible so i believe the story to be true ... look it up if you want its called FYVIE in aberdeenshire and read about the green lady but there were some evil bastard spirits around there and thats why i got us the fuck out of there and thats all im saying and no i was not high i was clean as a whistle back then cos she did not tolerate drugs and would of left me

UNINHABITED http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1459013/

Got to agree with you. Hired it from Blockbuster without knowing anything about it. My flatmate and i both thought it was a great film. Well worth watching.

Sorry mate my mistake. I meant the post before yours, the one about 'Assassination Games'. Thought it was great.

Old classic

Just saw the classic film 'Porridge' again on TV. Ronnie Barker is great in it. Also used to love 'The Two Ronnies' TV show, so funny.

Elephant White
In Bangkok, the assassin Curtie Church (Djimon Hounsou) is hired by a businessman to kill six men. Job done, the employer proposes another contract to Curtie to kill the lord of the traffickers that had addicted, prostituted and murdered his daughter. Curtie seeks out the Englishman Jimmy that is an arm dealer and he rents heavy weapons. Then Curtie provokes a war between gangs to eliminate the greatest number of white slave traders. Meanwhile, the young prostitute Mae meets Church and helps him to release other girls. When Mae vanishes, Curtie seeks her out and finds the truth about Mae. A beautiful twist ensues.

Looking forward to seeing The Inbetweeners film, clips are hilarious. Have Source Code on DVD as well which I'll try and watch in the next few days. Haven't really been watching films much recently which is strange seeing as I was a total film fanatic about a year ago, cinema twice a week and a DVD almost every night of the week.

you will have gotten bored of it, im like that with films and the x-box , i will go and play the x-box for months every single day then not touch it for months and watch films instead then i will switch back again im actually dying to start playing my xbox again the past week after a really long break of playing constantly but its in fucking cash converters as a buy back later but i will have the money in time to get it back before they put it up for sale as you get 28 days and can pay a deposit if u cant pay the full amount then get another 28 days and the amount i need i will have no problem before that amount of time even if this job doesnt pull off and its through benefits i will still be able to afford it back , i t will just take a little longer is all

but yeah i often go months of doing something to stop and start again , a bit like drug habits too but it dont kill you unless you play world of warcraft are from america and dont move from the chair for over a week to eat or drink lol

Watched 'NEDS' recently, thought it was a pretty good film, didn't leave me disappointed.
Its kinda like a scottish version of 'This Is England'.

Have you seen 'Dark Star'? It's one of his earliest films, is full of very dark humour and has a sequence at the end, involving an intelligent bomb with an identity crisis, which is brilliant

A classic, especially good is the creature made out of a slightly deflated beach ball...

And I saw The Guard last week. Very funny and original Irish film. John Carpenter meets "Carry On..."
