Holy Rollers, a film from a real story when in the late 90's a gang of Israeli was using haredim, orthodox jews from Brooklyn to smuggle Es from the Netherlands to the US, the film follows this kid who is about to get married and study to become a rabbi and how he becomes involved in international drug trafficking, the main character is Jesse Eisenberg, great actor.

The only drawback is that being an American film, their depiction of people on E is a charicature and almost comical, and the soundtrack(at least the elctronic music) sucks.

Wasn't bad but fuck I hate that cunt Jesse Eisenberg with a passion. Good actor and in some of my fav films... Adventueland, Zombieland and TSN. but the cunt just makes me angry:!

Just seen the original cast of the american pie films are making a renunion film, looking forward to that as the first 3 were great fun.

Fuck that. Horrible, horrible films.

Mentioned it in the last thread I think, but 13 Assassins!!!

Watch it if you have even the slightest interest in samurai or even just like to see a good sword battle. It really blew me away, its not really stupid and over the top like the rest of Miike's films.

Trailer

I might watch this the night if I can be arsed, had it downloaded for a while.

Remember going to the cinema around the time American Pie was out... 99 I think? Any way I was skink and the mate was paying... the cunt was also into fishing big time around the time and made us watch Deep Blue FUCKING Sea8o

Fuck I laugh now.. the first one was class:D

just watched 24 hour party people, been meaning to watch it for a while and loved it, steeve coogan is brilliant and the music is great.

Check out CONTROL also, about Joy Division, or more specifically, Ian Curtis
Great movie

Yeah that is a great film, poor auld Ian Curtis had a lot of problems with his epilepsy.

Joy Division were a brilliant band!! I used to listen to them all the time when i was a teenager, i still have the albums, i still love them, great band!!!! <3

Linklater's SubUrbia was an excellent piece--though hard to watch and not recommended unless you like quality dialogue and have a significant attention span.

I do like Linklater though--Slacker, Dazed and Confused, Scanner Darkly, Waking Life!, Before Sunrise/Sunset--and to a much lesser extent-- school of rock, are all awesome in my opinion. He is a master of vignettes and characters, and meaningful dialogue.

Plus he got Sonic Youth to drop some tracks....

Gotta get watching some of those. Before Sunrise/Sunset is a funny one I was about the same age when both films were made and its like.... what the fuck have I done in those 10 years:(

Holy Shit...Fresh Just Blew me away. The most brilliant movie I've ever seen.

Samuel L Jackson made chess look like the most badass shit ever. And fresh is the hardest 12 year old I've ever seen man--could hang with all the fucking junkies and people getting shot up around him

I just looked up Before Sunrise on IMDB, looking for something to watch tonight.

Description - "A young man and woman meet on a train in Europe, and wind up spending one romantic evening together in Vienna. Unfortunately, both know that this will probably be their only night together. "

Sounds absolutely fucking rotten.
