I'm not sure about the Cyborg one but it get's a good rating on lovefilm and if you're recommending it'll probably be decent.

I gonna watch Y Tu Mama Tambien tomorrow been wanting to see that for ages.

it's a goodun like have you seen Ammores Perros? think it's also been recommended in this thread but need you up to speed haha :)

I cannot remember if I have or not but I don't think so having just read the synopsis. Strange if I haven't watched it as my mate had it on DVD when we lived together, maybe I tried to watch but didn't enjoy, can't remember. Gonna rent it and see what I think.

it's in a kind of lose trilogy with Babel and 21 grams but is the first one and a much better watch than the other 2

Babel was good. Didn't enjoy 21 Grams though. Amores Perros is on the rental list.

I should watch Oldboy again its been a while, I can barely remember it.

I'll +1 Y Tu Mama Tambien, I also watched The Fantastic Mr. Fox last night and it was better than I expected :)

Saw Alice in Wonderland over the week-end. The story was a bit lame, didn't really follow the book and dragged on a bit but the visuals were great. My view may a bit biased though since it was the first 3D film i've been to see. :)

Given the chance i'd like to have taken some shrooms beforehand...I think it goes without saying Alice in Wonderland and psychedelics would be amazing.

I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date.

Off to see Alice in Wonderland now. :)

kate's away to see that in 3D tonight with one of her mates.

which meant i had to sort out my own tea. it's a fucking liberty, i tell thee! ;)

In the Loop

Watched this the other night, it's by the legend that is Armando Iannucci (also did In the Thick of It)

I didn't think I was going to like it at first, but by the end I was fucking crying with laughter, it is very very funny. =D

Probably not a film you would ever have noticed when it came out, but defo worth hunting now.

Here is a taster for you, one of the PR guys from the film:

Anyone else watched it? I could sit and talk about the funny quotes all day, the actors must have been pissing themselves reading the script.

And some more quality script writing and delivery :):

Seen it a good few times, as I'm sure a lot of people on here have. Fucking excellent film. The full film is on BBC iPlayer the now.

They apparently had a swearing consultant who they sent Tuckers lines to so he could add extra swearing & abuse.

It was nominated for all sorts of best British film, best comedy etc awards.

Everyone raved about In the Loop on here but the trailer didn't do it any justice, I'll need to see it for myself.

Just back from Alice in Wonderland. It was dissapointing. The story line was a bit slow and boring and the 3D wasn't as impressive as I expected it to be, the trailers and adverts before the film were more impessive. I could have watched it in 2D and it would have made no difference. I'd rather watch the original cartoon anyday. :)

Just got back from the cinema, Alice in 3D.

It was entertaining enough but jesus christ the 3D is a load of hype. Seemed almost pointless for that film.

Yes I agree, like I said above could have watched it in 2D and it would have made no difference. 3D hasn't impressed me yet but I have only seen that one film. I thought maybe Avatar would be cooler to watch in 3D but I'm told it's not any more impressive or well done than Alice in Wonderland. :\

Fuck 3D, give me some 2D animation or a decent storyline anytime.

Was my first 3D film too, to be fair the trailer for that shit new film where some dickheads cross ballet with street dancing seemed like the 3D would be better in that. Too bad it'll be such an utterly shit film I'll never go see it.

I found 3d avatar at the imax very visually impressive but same as you found the trailers more so. they must pack all the most 3d bits of the films into the trailers.

i've only been to see beowolf in 3D and after about an hour my eyes were in tatters and i spent the rest of the film playing phone games :|

fuck 3D.. i'm waiting till they bring out 4D before i go to another
