I keep seeing Fargo being advertised on TV as 'in cinemas on Friday' ..

Please tell me this isn't a remake? I can't find another Fargo on imdb, so I take it it's a rerelease?

They're plugging it pretty heavily for a rerelease though .. not seen any other flick given this treatment before

Bit of a strange one to get a nationwide re-release. It's the sort of thing you'd expect one small independent cinema (there's one round here that you can booze in %)) to decide to show.

Fucking hope it's not a remake. My mate was telling me this afternoon that they've remade the first part of The Pusher Trilogy (I've still not got round to watching them, but I do have them). A UK remake, set in Laaahhhndaan init bruv. Sounds horrible.

Not surprised you druggy degenerates haven't recommended this one yet. Ted.

I love cinemas you can drink in.

The Pusher films are brilliant. I saw a UK film being advertised as Pusher on TV but wasn't sure if it was sposed to be a remake or not.

I've watched The Campaign the other night, with Will Ferrel and the guy who plays Alan in the Hangover. It's a parody of US elections, quite satirical it makes fun of some aspects of US politics, it's quite spot on.

American Beauty was on telly last night. Such an exquisite film. I think this is one of my all time favourite movie scenes. Check it out.

"It was one of those days when it's a minute away from snowing and there's this electricity in the air, you can almost hear it. And this bag was, like, dancing with me. Like a little kid begging me to play with it. For fifteen minutes. And that's the day I knew there was this entire life behind things, and... this incredibly benevolent force, that wanted me to know there was no reason to be afraid, ever. Video's a poor excuse, I know. But it helps me remember... and I need to remember... Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world I feel like I can't take it, like my heart's going to cave in."

The simplicity of Truth. :)

I watched that too Yella, and must have seen it at least 3 or 4 times already, pretty decent film.

yeah, there is a remake. About Asian gangsters and something to do with betting on cricket matches. Looks awful - nothing is sacred.

If it's not even about the same thing as the original Pusher (apart from being about gangsters) why are they calling it a remake? Surely to remake something you have to pay the original owners some cash and then make a film with the same story but if you're not going to make the story the same it isn't actually a remake. :\

My mate said that the original Pusher films are pure gritty & don't glamourise anything, like the characters are just jakeys sitting about in trackies n shit whereas from what he's seen of a clip of the UK one it's all big time Hollywood gangster Range Rovers & bling bling shite.

Sounds truly awful & I've not even seen the originals - Gonna get that done sometime this week.

Aye the originals are grim and gritty. That's what I don't understand, why say you're remaking a film if you're going to change the style & storyline to something unrecognisable from the original?

The original is an obscure Danish film though and probably not been seen by that many people over here.

It was possibly through EADD I heard of it not sure or could have been a random film I found on LoveFilm.
