What are you going into these films expecting? Its a Krystof Kieslowki film, beautiful and dark....and slow moving. One of the best directors ever.Watched Three Colours Blue last night, pretty dull unfortunately.
Hmm,well there are many films that are an endurance test. They aren't set up to be enjoyable.Film is art.How many people can stand looking at every piece of art Jackson Pollock made?To most they are just a bunch of pieces of paper with some paint thrown at them....yet they are still art and no less valid than a Turner or Constable painting.not entertaining or watchable then the director has failed miserably IMO.
I have a very large feeling you would hate Metropolis, even though it is one of the most important films ever made.IE its black and white and silent.
A very important movement, but most of them are endurance tests.I think we should strap the Spade down and get him to watch all of Jean Luc Godards oeuveLa Nouvelle Vague ftw
You know what Dr Shambles? If you were a girl I'd be in love with you:DI also did film studies at college. Do love me a good endurance test of a film :D
Also, HG Lewis is GOD!!! :D

A Bout de Souffle is an excellent Godard film that's also entertaining.
