Recommend another good movie per post

I was enjoying it for the first hour or so, but when I realised how long it was it got pretty tedious. And the whole born-again shit just pissed me off :D

A pretty disturbing film really about a bunch of folk who pretend to be spaz's for shits and giggles. As it has to stick by the 'Dogme' rules it's filmed on a handheld camera, there are no special effects, there can be no superficial action, filiming must be done on location and there are a few other rules too. More about Dogme here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dogme_95#Goals_and_rules

Ive seen that!! wasw trying to remember what it was called!!! that films mental...

A bit strange, slow paced and difficult in parts but I *think* I enjoyed it somewhat. Was a bit distracted as was getting texts from folk.

It means I wasn't paying attention enough too busy texting. :D

But there was sex and violence in it so it must have been good, right?

Just watched The Wrestler, man what a fuckin film. Amazing performance from Rourke. I've never been in to wrestling at all, but it really drew me in.

Men in lycra. I've never seen the attraction myself. I just think they are overgrown touchy feeley types..

I've just watched Thick As Thiefs, Morgan Freeman as good as he was as he was in Shawshank Redemption I do believe.

It was surprisingly good wasn't it? I was pretty critical of the whole film when I first heard of it, terrible premise for a film but it was quite entertaining.

Che Part 2 starts showing on Friday! Can't fuckin wait! :D

The Year Punk Boke,

more of a documentary than a film, but nicely conveys the alternative rock scene that swept the world in 1991 :)

if only they'd release it on dvd already :(

^I still haven't seen all of that, whore. I started to watch the first part on youtube but Thurston Moore was pissing me off way too much.

Paris, the world-renowned city of love. Paris, Je T’Aime brings together 18 short films by a host of international directors who offer their reflections on passion and romance, as felt in the hearts of different generations, races and genders.

Now the synopsis makes this sound like some poncy chick flick but it's nothing of the kind. At first I thought it was really poor, only because I didn't realise it was several short stories and wondered what on earth was going on and why the stories didn't seem to go anywhere. It's basically a collection of short films, some good, some bad, some funny, some sad and some down right bizzare including efforts from Gus Van Sant & Wes Craven. There's even stories with mime artists and vampires and plenty of famous faces pop up. At the end of the film we see all the characters from the different films again intermingling into one film so to speak.

Really pretty unique as far as I know and worth a watch. :)
