Recommend another good movie per post

I'll need to re-watch it. I couldn't have been less impressed when I saw it.
 
it's quite possible you just didn't like it but there has been the odd time when i have hated a film on the first watch and then completely changed my opinion the second time
 
Sure it's happened with me too but can't think of any examples right now. I'll stick it on the rental list and watch again.
 
Remember I quite liked the Butterfly effect as well but struggling to remember what it was about. :\
 
it's aright like, was almost good enough to distract me from wanting to punch kutcher in the face occasionally. the directors cut (sad) ending is 1000000000% better than the shitty hollywood ending though.

^^ Yup. Really enjoyed Irreversible, BC. Excellent film, but "that" scene is pretty fuckin' brutal. A long way from being the most shocking film I've seen, but not one to watch with the kids for sure :D

Another good Cassel film is Sheitan. Best described as being a bit like a French version of League of Gentlemen. It's an odd one, but funny as fuck in places. Cassel is just hilarious.

Trailer Bit of a shit trailer though - film is much better.

PS: Downloaded La Haine earlier on the above recommendations. Too tired to watch it tonight but may do tomorrow. I have a feeling I'll like it :)
 
I seriously disliked Irreversible and no amount of re-watching is going to make me think differently. The rape scene is pretty shocking but I too have seen worse.

Saw the trailer for Gran Torino last week, it looked comically bad. Really cheesey over acting, almost cartoon like. It looked dire but I'll prob go see it and reserve further judgement till then.
 
I can not be botherd to read the rest of the pages on this post but I just watched Akira and it is AWSOME!

It's not the first time that I've seen it but I just thought that I would enter it onto this thread! :D

Well its called COOKERS.It deals with some meth heads.But whilst Spun and Salton Sea have mucho comedy elements(yes I mean you Vincent D'Onofrio) Cookers does not.It got sold as a horror film,yet horror purests say it should be a drama.Well I'd say its pretty horrific.Certainly if you ever thought of doing methamphetamine 24/7 and drinking alcohol and not eating,then this is the movie for you.
The only drugs film I've ever seen that made me not want to have anything to do with the scenario presented.8o
 
^ Sounds good that. Just had a look on the torrent sites and there's no seeds though. Not sure if it looks good enough to actually pay for ;)

Takes a couple of watches to wrap your head around Akira, I found. Is a weird one and gets mightily confusing. Think I know what it's about now. Certainly is rather ravishing to look at whether it makes sense or not though :)
 
might download/buy that shit in HD some of the most beautiful animation ever
