Recommend another good movie per post

This is why downloading films is shite and going to watch them at the cinema or buying / renting the proper DVDs is better. ;)

No cinema for miles around here, Spadey. I don't own a DVD player and I'm fucked if I'm paying to rent DVDs to watch on me PC monitor so I'll stick with me downloads thanks :)

Speaking of which, my download of Mesrine is in two parts the same as the film but didn't come with subs. Will have a scout about online to see if they're about but the ones I've seen seem to come as subs for each film seperately so am hopeful. Will keep y'all updated as I'm sure you're all dying of anticipation :D

shambles i meant the one i downloaded was mesrine - part two, split in to two cds.

they are two separate films, the same idea as kill bill. so it will always be split in to two films.

i've got a different version of part 2 downloading now that comes with subs. happy days!

back to recommendations. i watched "Bank Job" last night. thought it would be shite due to "action hero jason statham" starring in it but it was actually no bad. definitely worth a watch

That's what my slightly wandering mind meant to say - both films seperately instead of each one being split. Still not much bloody use with the subbies though but am hopeful. At some point I'll get around to downloading them and watching the film and recommending it or not. Till then, I'll just add this minor waffle and exit the thread stage left :)

Watched a film called Fuck last night, think its by the same people that did The Aristocrats.

Same deal really, docu-comedy with appearances from semi famous people (hunter s thompson was in there).

Now watching Videodrome :D

Yay the one im bout to say hasnt been mentioned :D

"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" is truely in the top 5 best movies I have ever seen. I am not a crier when it comes to movies but seriously, this is one of the most beautiful films ive ever seen and I did cry in it, it is such an emotional movie and the way i was made is unbelievable. Technology these days is just getting rediculous, you cant tell at all that most of the movie has been computer generated.

For those of you who dont know what its about, its starts of with aq little boy that gets born and while he is a little baby, he looks waaaaay older than he should, all wrinkly and just old...well as the movie goes on insteat of growing older, he grows younger, the film just follows his life from beginning to end and it is just amazing. So, so beautiful, its the only way I can describe it and I think it is a now what you thinkmust see for anyone with a mature head on them. If your looking for a comedy, horror and drug movie then this isnt for you but if your looking for a movie with meaning and depth to it then this is for you.

I give it 10/10. Please go see it and id even like it if you wouldnt mind PM'ing me after you see it to let me know what you think of it.

anyway G'night guys and girls, I think its time for me to head to bed. :) keep smiling everyone :P

Wanted to watch "Fuck" cos it looked interesting but everytime I've seen it online so far the linky was bunk :\

Videodrome is one of my favourites - bought it for myself for my 15th birthday along with the rather wonderful Creepshow (as recommended by TG above) and Evil Dead :)

Videodrome is now getting the remake treatment I hear. Sacriliege is the word that leaps to mind :|

Really? I dont see how thats possible lol I guess different stroke for different folks...yeah Forrest Gump is a great movie also, as well as the green mile but i like this new ben button movie more, I thought it was great. I dont cry in movies but the beauty in this movie made me weep lol I guess that now makes me a sook :p

Far too obvious for me, one of those Holywood films made specifically for the oscars. Not my thing. Very drawn out as well, went on far too long and I just wasn't convinced by the whole story.

i'm downloading 20th century boys the now, seems to be a live action version of some manga shit. any1 seen it?

recommendations -

kiss kiss bang bang - watched it last night, pretty good, can't be arsed to explain why

i also watched role models which, despite what i expected, was actually quite funny. the wee black kid in it totally makes the film. fucking hilarious wee dude. obviously its a cheesy hollywood comedy but when the wee kid constantly refers to the white guy in the film as ben afleck & at one point says something along the lines of "fuck off reindeer games" to him, you've gotta give it some credit =D also, fogel from superbad is in it

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is excellent. :D

I watched Kikujiro last night, very funny and very touching.

The story of Masao, a nine year old boy who wishes that he could meet up with his mother again. He along with Kikujiro, a small time gangster, undertake a long journey which brings them closer together.
