Recommend another good movie per post

Most horror films are cheesy. And I consider myself a horror film fanatic:D
I do love watching dodgy 80's US or Italian horror though and roaring with laughter all the way through....

Now we're talking - 70s/80s Italian horror ftw! =D

Saw you mention Cannibal Holocaust in a thread recently - saw the uncut version when I was 15 which probably explains a lot ;)

I prefer the remake of Dawn which makes me a heretic in the horror world:|Haven't seen the original for ever but remember it boring me to death.Prefer Day of the dead to be honest, which yet again makes me a heretical outcast:|
NOTLD remake is BETTER than the original.

I love the remakes of NOTLD and DOTD not seen the Day... remake (which I think exists?) yet though. Neither is better than the original though, although NOTLD is almost as good as the original which is damned impressive.

Have a ridiculously vast collection of "Video Nasty" era horror flicks which I never get around to watching. Was so much more fun when I knew folks who liked to sit around, get twatted, and giggle at badly-dubbed gorefests. We need a BL Horrorcheese Film meet :D

Nothing like a bit of cheese with your horror imo. I'm big on films like Nightmare On Elm Street (1 & 3), Evil Dead 2, Braindead, Hellraiser 2, Candyman, Child's Play, the original Dawn Of The Dead, and I seem to stand alone in my love of The Night Of The Living Dead remake. Personally I thought Patricia Tallman rocked it as Barbara.

I can't stand any of these films, they contribute to my hatred of the genre. :D

Hopefully I'll see some more decent modern foreign horrors this weekend and I'll appreciate horror films a bit more.

This however is on a whole different level to other horror films eg its a gruelling, pain inducing traumatic rape of the eyes:\I've got the top of the range dutch limited numbered release. But I have to say that I prefer the uk cut.The turtle scene is the most hideous thing ever in a legally allowable film:(
I've got a load of extreme films, such as MEN BEHIND THE SUN, AUGUST UNDERGROUND,MORDUM AND PENANCE.But I'm not sure about recommending them.
Sort this film fest out then.Wheres it gonna be?Are you going to invite me to your cave in Wales;)?

Men Behind the Sun is a brilliant film, BB. Have recommended it here before. Got part 2 and 4 as well but not been able to track down the third one yet. Got the August Underground trilogy too - pretty brutal stuff. I've got fuckloads of that kind of stuff - very much my kinda thing. Would recommend Murder Set Pieces which is along similar lines to August Underground but better :)

My cave is welcome to all that fancy a Horrorcheese marathon but is far from a pleasant place to visit unfortuntaley :\

Whore: Driller Killer is a favourite of mine - Abel Ferrara is one of my fave directors :)

I Spit on Your Grave is also a classic :)

PS: Agreed that Cannibal Holocaust is a bit gruelling, BB. I actually think it's a great film and for once think that the cuts were justified cos the animal cruelty is truly grotesque and detracts from what is otherwise a very intelligent and generally brilliant film.

I'm not sure about Day of the Woman (its original and proper title)I've watched it several times including with commentaries and its sort of good. But the "acting" of all 4 of the rapists is so AWFUL.Matthew the retard is straight out of an Ed Wood film.
Anyway I have been told to talk to my Dr to get one of those free travel passes for incapacitated people. If I got it it would mean free bus travel all around England.Don't know about Wales though.
But anyway since you seem to have all the drugs that I want to try and all the films that need watching I might have to find a way to get to Thearseendofnowhere or however its spelt in Welsh;)
Shambles Festival of drug and cheese horror sounds like the way forward:D.

I Spit on Your Grave (not the original title but what I've always known it as :p) is appalling on many levels. The acting would be pretty low down the list for reasons to avoid though :D

Bring Whore and TG along for the Horrorfest too please. We can squirt psyches up our arses and debate the merits of Argento films whilst sharing a communal drool over his daughter :D

But whores got a girlfriend...will she let him visit your den of iniquity;)
How would we be watching these films eg on a tv screen with decent sound,on a pc with tinny wank sound or on a busted up tv with mono whilst we all sit on deckchairs radically fucked up,stopping between movies to post in the I'M FUCKED megathread?
I haven't seen CANNIBAL FEROX,I presume that having my first experience of 2c-b on a deckchair,on tan pv,and after smoking some JWH-018 and then being subjected to CF wouldn't be the ideal introduction to the 2c's though.....

the (unofficial) sequel looks pretty fun haha

complete with explicit scene of the protagonist fucking herself with a broomstick

^ Ha! :D

*drools and checks torrent sites*

Would be on a PC with halfway decent surround sound, BB. Bit short on 2C-B - and got no tan peevee left - but have a fair selection of other goodies to play with. Also have Cannibal Ferox (and a fair few other cannibal films) which for some odd reason I've never gotten around to watching. Got no deckchairs either but have a grotty sofa for sitting and a grubby mattress for collapsing - should give an authentically sordid atmosphere :D

That I spit on your corpse is supposed to me more bollocks than watching soft core porn vs mordum.
I live in a horrendous cave like flat also, although I keep meaning to decontaminate my bedroom and then finally sort out my living room....I've also got shit sound on pc or dvd.Have to watch everything with headphones on:|
That sordid atmosphere of your place sounds like an opium den!Bring on the opium I say or is that not allowed in your diet these days?

Funny you should say that, BB... working on an opium den but can say no more about it right now ;)

Sounds like we live in similar circumstance too - need to get all the crap out of my "bedroom" so I can use it for more than a dumping ground :|

Getting cravings for Italian splatter films now. May have a dig through my foul films collection later :D

I bought the remake many many years ago on a whim not knowing the first thing about it. I just basically liked the look of the cover. And when I got home with my mate, we knew straight away that it was gonna be brilliant. For me, Patricia Tallman played a survivour, not a victim which I found pretty refreshing. And she wasn't the usual annoying, screeching twat you just want to hurry up and die. But as the film progresses her character grows and takes on a kind of Ripley-esque mentality. Me loves it. And I also love the work of Tom Sorvini too. <3

Cool clip

I'm up for a Horrorcheese Film meet :D

Remember having a lil stoned horror film marathon with someone I'd just met at uni and they weren't very impressed :p

Driller Killer comes to mind :)

A horrorcheese film meet would be awesome. And I too am a fan of The Driller Killer. That blonde, doped up chick in it is tantalisingly tasty. :D

A Troma night would be good also. Not sure psyches and horror go together too good though, sham. 8(

I remember being on a hefty dose of acid and flicked on the TV to find Blood For Dracula. Fookin' terrifying in every conceivable way. And everyone looked like lizards. =D

I've seen FLESH FOR FRANKENSTEIN with the immortal line "TO TRULY KNOW DEATH YOU MUST FUCK IT IN THE GALL BLADDER" Pronounced gal rather than gawl for added insanity!
We could start with some light entertainment/substances and then work our way up the scale.DOM looks frightening, and shambulls is the kind of dude with the contacts to get such a beast and the frightening films to go with such a hardcore substance.Would no doubt be beneficial if I brought some anti-psychotics along though, just in case we had a mass freak out to ZOMBI or THE BEYOND, which I fully assume Mr S.Bulls to own;)

RIP Fulci :(

I do indeed have a wide selection of his fine films. Also happen to have a small quantity of DOM. Sounds like a plan then ;)

TG: Troma - oh yes =D

As we're getting a lil sidetracked... I'm recommending Street Trash - Troma at it's best. Multi-coloured melty tramps? Hell yeah! =D

PS: "Andy Warhol" Dracula and Frankenstein films. Have both but not watched yet - been holding out for the 3-D versions but doubt I'll ever track them down :(

Anyone got any of the Guinea Pig films for me to watch?I would like to view FLOWER OF FLESH AND BLOOD at the Shambles EADD horror cheeseathon. On AMT.:)And JWH-073

Got all six plus the unofficial seventh one, BB. And some AMT ;)

Flower of Flesh and Blood is one of the weaker ones, in my opinion. The Devil's Experiment is probably the nastiest - truly disturbing viewing - but I like the weirder entries better. Live Mermaid in a Manhole is probably my fave of the Guinea Pig films :)

I watched The Lives of Others earlier, as recommended by brokenbrain earlier. Well I watched most of it because it kept freezing. Second time Lovefilm have sent me a copy and it's done that, must be my DVD player as loads of films are doing it.

Missed quite a few scenes but it seemed like a good film. Shame I couldn't watch it in full and in peace without constant pauses. :X

First 10 mins of film

I typically caught this late on channel 4 many moons ago. Back in the days when I was still recording things onto VHS. Which is exactly what I did with this quirky little film, minus the first 5 minutes. It's by no means perfect or brilliant, but it has a certain charm about it. I'm also fond of the humour. I definitely regard it as being one of my favourites. Anyhoo, I've included a clip of the first 10 mins of the film rather than posting the trailer (as it's shite).

Have The Orphanage & Primer to watch later tonight. :)

Also the programme for the Edinburgh International Film Festival was released today and what a belter it is. There's 50 films I'd like to see and I have the week off work too. =D

Can't sadly afford to see 50 films but you can see 4 for £20, so will do 8 or so and spend all week in the cinema. :D
