I basically see folk like that, the american type of raver, as people who cannae handle their ectos & get all messed up, rolling about the floor hugging each other & licking the sweat off each other ears. GET A GRIP YA FUCKING FANNIES! IT'S ONLY A SWEDGER!
 
Yeah you're meaner than me then. There was a kid I used to go raving with in the mid 90s who'd grab you on the dancefloor and start pulling your arms and massaging your head for whatever reason, I never had the heart to explain to the gurning numpty that I was on speed not E's. He had eczema on his hands too, it was like sandpaper.

But that lightshow thing is a bit strange too. One of those things that started out informal and became a kind of ritual or team thing. Americans seem to do that a lot, formalise originally spontaneous aspects of a subculture.

You poor bastards.......I would never take that horrible toxic mdma or listen to that rubbish robot music but if you come for a visit to the Land of Septicemia I promise I will point you to whatever variant on tribal drug thump rump shake scene you like. Everything exists here from the sort of cramped bouncer controlled club scenes you lot are most familiar with to giant free for all illegals in the desert or crypto-warehouse parties in industrial wastelands. Every type of raver from genuine crunchy hippie to fist-pumping guidos depending on your preference.

The USA sucks in so many ways, but not in terms of variety and choice of subcultural amusement...... ;-)

The thing that annoys me most about it is that these fannies will specifically go out with all these flashy led things on them so that they can go up to people & be like "hey maaaaaan, can i give you a lightshow maaaaan, coz like, i'm so boring really maaaan, that i need to do this shit to kid on I have some sort of a personality maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan" DIE DIE DIE.

Whenever i look on the ecstasy discussion board it always seems to be americans preaching you should take 2 pills once every 3 months and going on about how california is the place for the strong ones because theres are 100mg mdma. These people would be in for a serious shock at some nights over here, people were even worse before the drought
