'Onsolis' sounds the same as FENTORA....FENTORA is among the BEST.....BUT...as you indicate, dosage is everything! Fentora, to be specific, are very small pills (size of 2 match heads) that are individually wrapped in blister-packs. If, for instance, you obtain an Rx for 90 pills...they come in perforated packs of 4. Getting them out without breaking can prove troublesome. These pills are like alka-seltzer. They foam up and are meant to be placed between your cheek and gum. There's no sense in trying to snort, inject or whatever because they work in less than 5 minutes. And BOY do THEY WORK! The doses range from 100 mcg's (micrograms) to 800mcgs. I currently get three (3) 800mcg's a day for breakthru pain. Unless you have cancer, getting them, or getting a physician to prescribe them is a different story. I do not have cancer but rather a spinal column that has 12 levels of metal reconstruction (broken back) over multiple surgeries. A doctor cannot just prescribe them without writing a letter describing why you should have them. It was a process that took about 4-6 weeks for approval. Well worth the wait! Whoa, they blow me and my pai away...ALSO, there is now a time release pill for DILAUDID...it's called EXALGO. I've read many people complaining that it doesn't work.....which for many means they didn't get real high. Once again, DOSAGE is the key. You can forget trying to defeat the time release. It will not happen!...BUT, if the physician prescribes correctly....it's much better than the old OC 80's. Exalgo dosages are 6mg, 8mg, 12mg and 16mg. If you're familiar with dilaudid...16mg sounds GREAT! not in the time release formula though. My doc Rx's me 80mgs daily to be taken all at once (seriously)! Exalgo is a 24hr medication, therefore I am instructed to "take five (5) tablets upon awakening" each day. Together, Fentora/Exalgo is a winning combination!!!! PS: prior to this medication regimen, I was prescribed six (6) Oxycontin 80mg daily...on the bottle it said "take 2 tablets every 6-8 hours"...MDD= 6 tablets...along with 6 30mg morphine sulfate pills for breakthru pain. Either combination has saved my life. I can actually function (walking) at a low level rather than be bed ridden!
