Random Social Chit-Chat v. Illuminati Confirmed

I actually disagree that good movies are still being made. you may find one a decade that is just average.
The lack of creativity in the film industry is front and center as all you get are reboots, remakes, and sequels.
They just spent $250m to remake the odyssey.

I don't watch much, that's my problem. Thanks for your comment. If I watched many movies
I would probably forget about the internet. An attention span thing. 🩵

I had an idea for a remake from a 50's movie called The Milkman.
I made plenty of notes for it. short of a script.
But the premise is a milkman that goes around selling raw milk door to door.
and the cops tell him you can't sell raw milk.

Boss: I hate to be the bearer of bad news. but it's just not feasible to employ a milkman in this economy.
Milkman: But I'm the best damn milkman you got.

Boss: well sometimes you got to break some hearts in this industry.
Milkman: You're going to miss me when I'm gone.
Boss: Hey hey hey, who's the boss? I'm the boss

Starring Tony Danza as the boss.

That's what I'm sayin.'

I don't watch everything.

But when it's good it's good.

None. zero. @alasdairm
It's just noted that movies in the 90s were much better than the filth being produced now.
Last good movie I saw was Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

q.e.d.

you can't know if the movies i listed are filth, or movies in the 90s were better than those, as you have not seen them.

i get the "movies were better before" sentiment, but a blanket statement that there are no - zero - good movies being made any more is just ignorant (literally) nonsense.

The film industry parallels the music industry. in terms of quality. Jokes aren't funny anymore. Action is not exciting. Overproduced. lacking raw energy.
