I am getting really, really annoyed by the way I use my smartphone. Specifically, I use my right thumb for everything including a lot of texts and other messaging, and sometimes posting on here. So I'm tapping away and an ache is building at the base of my thumb and in my wrist, the type of ache which hints that I'm laying the foundations for some more serious problems further down the line. I really want to start using my fingers instead but I keep forgetting and going back to thumby.
Has anyone here successfully trained themselves to change instinctive physical habits like this? Any tips? All I can think of is immobilizing my thumb for a couple of weeks and that's clearly not going to work.
