Substitute the e's with even numbers and the os with odd numbers:

2+2+1+1= 4
1+1+1+1+2+1= 7
1+2+1+2+1+2= 9

but I honestly think that if it was meant in the nastiest version/interpretation that's being considered here, then he'd either have the balls to admit it and apologise (given it's of a personal nature and not politics), or have the balls to admit it and justify it (given the history between them), and not back down.

I think it was probably nievely anticipated on his part that it would be taken on surface value. stupid & thoughtless remark though, nontheless

[edit] eh, I don't like to think of people being capable of such nastiness, so this could well be clouding my thinking, but I don't think so
