Where's the angry thread when I need it?!

I'm angry, vendor really screwed up. I ordered mxe and b2. Two weeks later, 1 baggy arrives labelled "mxe". I take 30mg, nothing happens. Another 30mg, nothing happens. I figure it's just really weak or cut with something, I take 100mg. Bam, I'm stimmed as fuck. So I guess they sent the B2.... labelled as MXE. Arrrgh!!

I have work tomorrow. Only hope it wears off in time for me to have some sleep. I know the worst that can happen is I end up calling in sick tomorrow, which isn't the end of the world, but still.... GRRRR!!!

I used to know a bloke who always wore a kinda Laura Ashley floral dress to parties long with hob nail boots and about 3 days of stubble, I w intrigued as to his motivation it wasn't a one off piss take so I chatted ti him about it and he said that he liked to wear womens clothes but never had the bottle to do it anywhere else. The rest of the look wasn't a big deal for him he got enough out of just wearing the dress.

He was a really sound bloke with a great sense of humour, wonder what h's up to these days, maybe he's moved on with the look Laura Ashley is a little passé these days :) where a hob nail boots are a classic that will never go out of fashion much like a good pair of Brogues.
 
I've never watched four lions as it failed to achieve critical acclaim. Is BL telling me I need to read different Review columns? Perhaps. Downloading.
 
I was well excited by the idea but I didn't dig Four Lions when I finally got round to watching it. I'm trying to remember why at the moment.

I avoided it all together and watched Happy Feet 2 with my missus and Daughter, Happy Feet being on of my fav kids films...I'm a sucker for a penguin :)

Twas OK no a patch on the original film but you've kinda painted yourself into a corner once you already have a colony of singing and dancing penguins, I good little feel good movie.

Brasseye was a fekin classic Cornishman.

My grandmother in law, who was more than a bit loopy and took shed loads of Diaz watched The Day Today and thought it was actually the news =D. It took my poor father in law most of the night and a fair whack of vallies to settle her down, she rang up raving on about all sorts.

Poor bloke he didn't know what she had seen an really thought she had lost it, but we worked it out the next day, that was a long time ago now but it still makes me laugh =D bless her and her addled mind RIP

In one of my first post dropping out / nervous breakdown jobs, there was a girl in our office who watched the animal cruelty episode of Brass Eye and took it to be real. We couldn't bring ourselves to enlighten her.

Bear in mind she'd just graduated in some science or other a year prior to this. My faith in humanity waned even further that day, and has barely stopped doing so since.

re Four Lions: needs to be seen in context. it's a movie on a fairly low budget. anyone who was following what project Morris was researching, and then a bit of info from the trailor would know it was gonna be slapstick and about the characters. A TV style Day Today wouldnt work on a big screen. This was more like Nathan Barley territory imo.

I found it absolutely pants wetting in the cinema. it was only half filled but the lols were definitely shared. I dont think it was a good movie in terms of production, or even direction or cinematography/plot etc ... but I wasn't expecting it to be. Decent, funny characterisation and situational stuff mainly just creating humour through the shere absurdity of the numpties involved. the commentary on the situations and Morris's take on Terrorism through those characters is the main reason I went to see it really. And that made the movie for me. I think he succeeded in getting to the bottom of the social/cultural side of it from a brit perspective insanely well, and I know he was doing years of research into those characters. I think in that respect it paid off in spades
 
Morning all, on the subject of four lions I'm with Cornish on this, I too turned it off mid way as the comedy
Style just wasn't gripping me :/

I have real brought and paid for DVD (yes they do exist) of Brass Eye, proper classic, so many people were sucked in by its BS the list of celebrities on the Cake episode and some of their false sincerity is feking hilarious especially Bruno (my career is failing) Brookes, the Tory twat
 
Brasseye and the day today were brilliant, jam was amazing but four lions just didn't do it for me :/
 
Yeah darkplace was pretty funny, in fact as I'm off today I might see if it's on netflix and give it a bash
 
Actually woke up without my alarm at 6am. I'm impressed with myself. Although I didn't get up until the third time I woke up at a quarter past seven, of course. ;)
