I've changed the display name, but the actual mixcloud link is still www.mixcloud.com/myrealname/ - you might want to check your own for that mate. I think I'd need to create a new account, but I liked how it linked with my Facebook to automatically post new uploads. Gonna have a look at mixcrate.

No, that's exactly what was happening to me, I had my "name" Postman Phat, but didn't twig that the link in my address bar was showing www.mixcloud.com/myrealname/. I did manage to change it so now my address bar shows www.mixcloud.com/Postman_Phat. I've got to run to the shops and do a couple bits now, but I'll have a loook later, was prob more down to luck that I stumbled upon how to do it.....

Actually, no, just remembered, I DID have to closethe account and start a new one. :(

I've never heard of mixcrate.

And fuck linking anything with facebook.

I don't like the way that mixcrate looks.

But nice you can download stuff from there....do you have to add tracklistings?

Back to work tmrw. I am not looking forward to having to set an alarm to wake me up for work at 05.30,got used to not rising from bed until midday over the xmas holidays.

know the feeling. alarm set for 5:20am... 40 mins drive to work, 8 hours of the same old shit, 40 mins drive back. blah. oh well... long until the weekend again thank fuck =D

Hell that's early boys - I think I'm bad with a 7am alarm tomorrow. It's going to hurt :|

Over the holidays I've enjoyed being out in the little natural day light hours we have, in the fresh air. Work means being indoors mostly unless its from car to building to car...I'll miss outside :( That or stuck in a bloody ferry...

Thank fuck I have the whole week off thanks to having holidays to take. I'm getting drunk all week!

I'm jealous, sounds amazing. You had a small rucksack last time you went away, well I thought anyway.

Have my eye on Vietnam n' Cambodia.

Some more Thai pics from me to wet your juices :D

I know all those places in the pictures well Kate. There will be less sight seeing and more drink, drugs and shagging this time round though. Apart from my side trip into Burma which will be very cultural I'm sure. Chasing the dragon IS cultural, right? ;)

Vietnam & Cambodia are both great. As is Thailand.

Ever get that feeling of being trapped? It's like, I can't stand what I'm doing at the moment, yet I can't see a sensible way out of it. Starting to think the fact that I'm 27 at the end of the month might be a sign. Year long hardcore drug binge, fuck the rest, then brap, one to the dome about 12 months from now (I don't really mean that btw lol).

GET OUT OF THERE NOW MATE!

You've tortured yourself long enough at that place, you're clearly not doing yourself any favours by being there. There's no reason for you not to take that big pile of cash you've got in the bank and fuck off somewhere exotic for a while and just get fucked up. That's my plan for my time in SE Asia anyway. :D

You're the perfect candidate for quitting your job and dropping out of real life anyway surely, no mortgage / rent, no motor, still live with parents. If you fuck off for a few months what have you actually got to lose? I'm in the same boat as you so I may as well make the most of it before my old dear can't stand the sight of me anymore and refuses to let me live here. Soon as I've got to go back to renting my own place and paying bills none of this is possible especially now I'm no longer a student and the Government aren't throwing money at me!

I know man. I'm not quitting my job though. If I quit I get fuck all, if they sack me they pay me off. If they don't sack me I'm gonna buy a flat & find another job, if they do sack me I'm fucking off somewhere.

The disappearing act to Thailand etc is perfect as a last resort, & that's what it is - a realistic last resort. I know I'd likely never come back from it though, and I don't mean that in a find a job in a foreign land, settle down & live happily ever after in the sunshine kind of way lol.

Thailand should be the FIRST resort mate, get out there and have the time of your fucking life. You'll come back either refreshed and ready to take on 'normal' working life all over again with a fresh perspective on things or bitter and jaded that you ran out of money and had to come back. Either way you'll have had an epic time. :D

Sounds quality. How much do you reckon 4-5 months in Thailand will set you back? I know you posted somewhere already but I never actually saw the figure. Always fancied Aus but the amount of saving that would require is beyond me. India or Thailand is more realistic, India sounds more laid back at the moment though I think, mate went there for like 6 weeks or more with £2k and came back with money still. I'm out of the overdraft and in credit for the first time in ages so might start saving go away towards the end of the year if I can. Do you need a visa for Asia no? Don't think I'll get into places like Aus, the states etc these days.

A grand a month is decent for South East Asia mate. Will go far in Thailand and further in India despite only being just over £30 a day to cover accomodation, food, drinks, travel, sight seeing etc.

Do you need a visa for Asia no?

Asia is a big continent mate, there's no one visa fits all rule unfortunately. Some places you do and some you don't. South East Asia it's all very easy and little advance planning is needed. Thailand you get a free 30 days stamp on arrival (I've applied in advance for a 60 day visa for £25 though so I don't have to leave the country or do a border run for a bit), Vietnam being a communist state you need a visa in advance, Laos you get one on the border for a few quid, Cambodia is $20 on the border, Singapore and Malaysia we don't need anything, Burma being a paranoid, military state you have to apply in advance for one and pay for it. Other parts of Asia it's wildly different, China is more rigorous, India requires a visa in advance, some of the Central Asian states (the stans etc) you need a whole lot of paper works, checks and money to be spent.
