Msb, I've said it before but I'll say it again, my thoughts are with you mate! much love

Much respect to you MrSB and 3rdESq, I can't imagine how you cope. Pretty strong people I'd say <3<3<3

Got my eye's tested yesterday, my reading prescription needs changed again - eyesight's got a lot worse in the last year. Couldn't see the top line letters in my right eye at all :(

My question is - has anyone bought lenses online? I'm not interested in new frames, the 2 pairs I've got are fine - but the lenses for the old frames came in at £45 each. Can I get them cheaper elsewhere?

Walking out of the opticians with my prescription card past the spec-sales reps was hard work :!

MSB, this sounds awful, really hope you can influence the right people in the system to see that you're given the care you need. Best of luck! I can only reiterate what Marmalade said which is that you make this the first thing you discuss with the doctors on their rounds and keep coming back to it so that it's at the forefront of their minds.

Eaddit: Kate, I'd be very interested to know how that works out as I will need some new ones before long. Grappling with the opticians to leave the place without dropping more money is never fun- the last lot I visited didn't grasp that I like my existing frames and treat them as a device to allow me to see clearly rather than some kind of £300 mating display which needs to be replaced every six months.

That's greatly appreciated <3 Probably being a cheapo but on a frugal-drive. Specky4i's is good, long as you have z-specks on!

I like Palmer's cocoa butter, it makes you smell like a white chocolate goddess. Lavender in almond oil is very nice on the feet - socks necessary after application.

Completely unrelated....It's our baby ginger kitten's last day with his baws :\ to be starved from 6pm for the big chop tomorrow morn. Poor baby.

^
He's a he :| hard life for a ginger tom. And no we didn't call him The Spade :D

I considered going out to the beach but it's practically dark out there already and very nippy. Have a boiling ham hough (n' eadd) to watch over in the meantime =D

I'd be more than interested to hear about any online lens places too. I've been skint enough to not be able to do the eye test for two years now even though the eyes are deteriorating and doing the lenses cheapstyle would be really useful to me!

I've got my eye test tomorrow, my local tescos is doing them for free all this week, I know, tescos are doing everything these days! Can't complain though!

They're behind the times though, people have been getting their hair cut at ASDA for years.

ASDA are doing a Christmas Lunch in their "restaurant". Shame they're not open on Christmas day, would save some washing up.

Sundays, gotta love them. Spent most of the day sorting out stuff for work next week, washing and dying clothes, ironing, shopping for food, cooking lunches and dinners, hair cut. Now it's 6pm and I've got that feeling of dread kicking in about going back tomorrow. :\

something your mum does

Brilliant!

How is everyone this evening? I feel cheated out of a Sunday morning, only had three pints last night and woke up with a horrible hangover.... I mean seriously, THREE pints? I mean I did mix them (three different pints, a Newcastle Brown Ale, Fosters and a Magners. Not all mixed together like, lol) I wasn't even drunk!

How has everyone's weekend been?
