Bristol looks like the epicentre of the universe. I also quite like the look of Cornwall or Devon, looks similar to up here just bigger and better beaches.
 
Clifton is one of the nicest parts, then you've got Redland / Cotham which is a little less nice and thus cheaper but still alright, and there are loads of scummy run down areas and other places the students have completely taken over.

what are you looking for? nice quite area? somewhere a bit more exciting? a cheap ghetto? student paradise?

I might be a bit biased but Bristol is loads better to live in than London, and if you do need to head to THE PROPER BIGGUN then its only a short train ride away.
 
I had the choice of Newcastle or Norwich for my uni course and picked the latter. Born and raised southerner been living in a couple different northern towns and even though I'm honestly nostalgic about my Preston days I'm over the north now, East Anglia is nice and close to family and old mates.

hahaha i'd say avoid clifton like the plague. if you wanna move to clifton, you may aswell just bite the bullet and move to london.... cash wise itd prob work out similarly.

the right side of redland/cotham, i.e. as close to g rd/stokes croft as possible. or stokes croft itself (i only know one person who had any trouble there...). i lived in st andrews/montpelier and loved it. would move back tomo if i could. if you don't mind busing it, horfield/bishopston have really decent links to town.... via stokes croft.

but i will admit, these areas are perceived by many to be scummy. ppl who say that have never lived where i live now..... to add to the aura of scumminess my neighbours had his windscreen wipers broken twice this week, just for fun, as did many other cars. the only thing i didn't like was on occassions when clearly v v v dodgy things were going on on the back behind stokes croft. and the really desperate junkies who'd just one day disappear never to be seen again.

Errr, my perfect place to live would be close to the action, yet in a quiet and safe location? The equivalent place in Leeds would be Headingley, and Roundhay. I am sort of done with dealing with living properly near students now, it's not so much the typical student behavior that aggravates me but the rahs - I honestly heard one say 'I almost chundered everywaarrr' earlier.
 
horfield or bishopston then definitely. i should say, public transport to get anywhere but the centre in bristol is shit. so if you want to bus it to 'the action' i.e. stokes croft, unless clockwork/lakota/blue mountain unless they ever actually get round to shutting down, you need a bus which goes down gloucester rd, though come to think of it they prob don't run at the right times. that said, i didn't find montpelier too studenty, there are actually some v v nice posh houses there, its a good mix.

Why move to Bristol then completely avoid where it's best? Weurburgs is really nice if you want a peaceful place to live but only a walk away from all of Bristol's greatness: Clubs, Drugs and Thugs.

st weurburgs is good- well i like the farm, particularly the tiger pigs (not their official name) and associated pub. i was saying he should be close to the best parts though.... not avoiding them, unless we disagree on the best parts, which i suspect we don't.
 
I moved to Clifton Village 6 months ago... and yeah.. it pretty much is london prices :| but its a nice area, nice pubs/independent shops but you still see plenty of scrotes about as its a nice area to go on the rob, every cunt seems to have a 2011 plate BMW. (not me :()

I lived in stokes croft 10 years ago, its cheap and jam packed full of dodgy cunts but on the whole they'll leave you alone if you leave them alone.

stokes croft is the only place i've ever seen someone running down the street screaming with a samurai sword swinging at an invisible enemy while other residents stood around not so much as batting an eyelid.

another thing to note. if you move to bristol get a car or moped. public transport here is about as bad as it gets.

I haven't got a job so thats my excuse , Smackcraft went to seek Treatment in a Residential Rehab.
For Heroin Addiction or maybe for posting on here probably the first one.

can't believe i actually post that much on here, i technically have a full time occupation. craziness. before i was addicted to bluelight i was addicted to farmville so i do kinda think i've moved upwards in the world,

well i'm off to chill out for a bit.
