Yea I do hope it goes well. I can appreciate wanting the little bits of freedom that come with yer own gaff though.
Maybe, if you get to know each other well enough, you'll still be able to walk around nekkid and all will be grand ;) =D
And lessening the drug use will be a positive thing in the end ay? :)

acidtek please be careful with the venlafaxine. don't let them up the dose too high. i think my withdrawal was pretty extreme but it was horrendous.

Shit yea definitely! 8( And when you end up coming off it make sure your doc tapers you extremely slowly and in small incriments. Also, switching to Paroxetine might be a good idea as it's half-life is a bit longer (~24hrs I think).
It's just if it will work as well for you as Venlafaxine, which it should do with any luck :)
 
mornernoon people, hope everyone is great :)

I am alright, sorry for starting a depressing couple of pages in the gibberings thread yesterday.

Had a good time out for my friends birthday last night, they offered me a free ticket to go see Peter Kay at the O2 tonight. I decided against it though as I would have had to sponge of them all day long, for lunch, dinner, and drinks and train fare. I don't like having to be a sponge, makes me uncomfortable sometimes, even if they are only trying to be nice. I also am not a huge fan of Peter Kay so it would have made the sponging seem not really worth it too.

Just going to lounge around at my dads house with my sister watching tv and films today.

yeah lessening the drug use will be good. done stims the past 3 weekends and i know its not good. there is definitely a correlation between mdma arriving back in the uk and my mood being all over the place.

and lol don't start. she is actually pretty hot and if i start thinking along those lines i'll come home wrecked one day and proposition her for a threesome. i'm fairly sure she wouldn't go for it so it would kind of make things awkward.
 
^Mugz, if you're down in Pompey already, go for a walk along the beach! Whenever I feel lost, down, low or just in need of regrouping, sitting and watching the sea always makes me feel better. Its like, the futility of our lives seems so small and insignificant compared to the massive awesome and ancient power of the ocean.

Always helps me.

Only went up 5ml on me script cos it would be a shame to fuk up all the hard graft i done over the last 10 years.
My doc is Cnt but I respect him , i'd rather have folk cnt me off 2 my face than go behind me back .
N he definatley wouldn't do that. He would tell me straight n i think he has got my best intrests at heart as iso often not the case in Drug treatment,.
If any of you other folk out their end up like me with a silly benzo script n getting in aproper mess , jus think about what your doing cos i wouldn't wish what i have 2 go throuf=gh on any1.
It might sound dandy with Liquid benzo's n loads valium on script but its fukin shit.
I think Monsta may agree with me on this .
Anyway thanks 2 all of you that sent kind words u no who u are.
I'm not happy jus normal n what aload of shit 2 go through to be normal.

I've just finished cleaing and I'm proud of myself for just getting it done and still feeling good :) Woke up not too late, got on with cleaning quick sharp so now I can chill out %)
Might try make some tunes or something :) See if that works today.

also just found out i'm going to the caribbean with my family for a week in august. i'm kind of dreading having to properly take time out of work and feel mean about leaving my boyf and my cat but i know it'll be awesome once i get there!!

Making crumpets for tea, tried to use some kitchen roll as an oven glove and it set on fire, was a little alarming! Domestic goddess I am not, haha.

Acidtek, I'm on venlafaxine, the problem is it has a really short half life so when you stop your blood levels drop really rapidly. I've found that if I miss a dose i feel like shit, really down/grumpy/anxious, shaky, I get headaches and brain-zaps and generally feel rubbish.

It's basically the same set of symptoms you can get stopping any SSRI/SNRI (SSRI discontinuation syndrome) but venlafaxine is one of the most notorious for it.. just need to taper slowly though, or switch to something longer-lasting such a fluoxetine to make it smoother.

For me venlafaxine's made a massive difference to the quality of my life so I'm prepared to go through some discomfort when I eventually stop, but others may not feel the same! If you're worried about it I'd have a chat with your GP. It's not for everyone but it's been amazing for me so I'm sticking with it..

edit: I got side effects when starting too, sickness and insomnia but they went pretty fast and it wasn't too bad at all. Also got dilated pupils and felt like I was coming up off a dodgy pill, haha!
 
Interesting what you say about the side effects going quickly effie. I was prescribed it but couldn't handle the side effects after 2 days of taking it so just didn't give them a go.
