I dont dj at there events but I no people that run events in that kind of field for sure, but it wouldnt be the genre of music your talking about because I dont think people listen to that kind of music in London,
Whats the location of these disgraceful parties in London then Safrolette?
All the well known ones are well known and tend to crop up in the same buildings and locations.
Interesting question here. There may be more than one reason:
1) Psy-trance, apart from those disgraceful London squat parties and maybe a few other exceptions, tends to attract a nicely mixed, civilized, peaceful and mature crowd. Which can't always be said about grime, dubstep and D&B.
2) Mature and responsible crowd = less casualties (fingers crossed on this one). There is security staff at the venues, but not of the type who stares if you do as much as putting a hand in your pocket.
3) The best, small scale events are not too widely publicized. Yes, they are advertised on FB and on specialist forums, but not on the front page of, say, DSI. Although I've noticed that a few nights have been mentioned in previous posts, I personally wouldn't name them on here.
Hope you enjoy your psy-trance night, Nomy, chai-tea and everything... Leave some feedback in this thread if you have time

Does the arches no sell fucking hot-dogs?
cup o' chai when you're tripping is v nice i must admit, i prefer being surrounded by pretty girls in fairy wings to a load of sweaty jock blokes with their shirts of shouting "HERE WE HERE WE FUCKING GO!" throwing pints of tennents over each other and rucking outside tbh
+ 1i've not read the full thread, but the nights i've been to have been really friendly, with no wankerish behaviour exhibited by anyone. Again, i'll echo the age thing. Lots of older, friendly looking hippy types, and no one giving you funny looks, whilst you try and chew your eyebrows. The music is ok, that's about all i can say about that. You'll have a good time, though. Just the decorations are nice to stare at for a bit, then there's ladies with nice bright clothing, bouncing about.

I'm going to Illuminaughty, in Manchester, for my mate's birthday, next month. Should be a good night.
