Awww hehe I didn't think it was a rotty until you showed the full sized pic! He's got a longer coat from the looks of it... and the avatar size makes it seem he's a small dog... that's so cool you rescued him from the RSPCA... :)

hehe I can picture the look on his face when he hears the music... pity... maybe try starting him off with some techno... LOL :P

...another of those Gnomemixes - the "Green Paradise" set is one I've been digging lately :) http://www.audiognomes.com/gnometones.htm

Been meaning to buy more tunes but was waiting til my next pay, and also with the hopes that some others I want will come back in stock by the time I'm ready to shop... but bad luck prevailed and yet another of the CDs I'm after sold out... bugger :\

^^^He's a long haired, bit of a runt and has a huge nushy tail which is good- tail docking is fucked. I think he has a bit of golden retiever in him....

Just bought SUN Project- wicked, but haven't really heard it yet so i'll comment later.

Also Mekkanika- Intoxicated. Do not go near this, it is shite. Theres a song called "Popsick" which incorporates Britney Spears Toxic refrain and that fucked up violin shit. It is so bad- i hate to bag it so much, but it is an exaMple of how boreing, and mundane psy trance is ATM. Looking forward to IM's new alnum, if we ever hear it.l

Peace :)

Surely those same accusations of cheese and mundaneness apply more to IM than nearly any other psytrance artist at the moment?

Saw Loud, Nexus Crawler and Naked Tourist last night. Wow. Still reeling.

Last time I saw Naked Tourist was incredible. DJ Iguana was amazing too.

Yikes... I'll be keeping away from that one... hehe... that's pretty bad if they resorted to using a sample from her, even if it happens to be as a joke... sounds (or smells) like the stinkiest of cheese to me! :P

Actually, no- becuase IM starteted that 'israel sound', and their music is great. It just sounds stale amongst the scene they were in, thats why they moved to LA. I think they are one of the only bands to push psytrance into different directions....yeah, sometimes with a commercial slant, but good music usually ends up popular. Mekkhsnika are just typical squelchy, gated, staccato, dark nonsense.... though had i just gotten into psy, i'd probably say its fantastic.

Its just boering- now that SUN Project album fucking ROCKS

Electro Sun are playing tonight at Bliss, i may have a ticket lined up but i don't know anything about them plus i feel like smoking bongs tonight. Dilemma.... 8(

I know we'll probably never agree on this because we obviously have different tastes, but I have to say this. The thing about IM's "new directions" is that they are not new at all. There are dozen of Israeli acts that sound very similar. Now, this isn't a bad thing in itself but the problem is they are moving away from a psychedelic sound and toward a sound that can be found in other genres. In my mind, there's no justification of calling them psychedelic trance any more. If I hear their newer stuff whilst tripping, I cringe so much it's painful. The amount of cheese they are throwing out is not compatible with psychedelic music IMO.

^^^The Israeli acts that sound similar sprung up after IM started their sound. Just because the Beatles have had many imitators does not take away their prowess IMO, if u get my drift. That said, i don't like much from Coverting Vegetarians (tho their are some gems, Elation Station for one) and IM The Supervisor is boring- i don't wanna listen to psy for big builds and melodic epic melodies, though i love how every IM song, even the most obnoxious, has some sound you've never heard before. Before CV, the albums were good, though The Gathering always been slightly lost on me.

In retrospect, the Mekkanhika album is pretty cool, from a production and technical perpective- these guys or guy certainly know how to program some wild sounds and phrasses, its just that they forgot that humans, with emotion, were gonna hear it. It sounds like a computer on DXM 'constructed the sound-wave output' of this compact disk (sorry, i was attempting to be all blunt and humourless like i imagine robots are or will be- my bad) :)

^^^BP Empire was IM's last decent album IMO. Everything after that has mainly been cheesy, commercial crap. The Gathering, however, will always hold a special place in my heart as their finest work. It really flows well, and takes you on more of a journey than any of their subsequent albums. Classical Mushroom is also very good.

I recently acquired Menis - Temporary Insanity and Semsis - Letting Go. I've had them on heavy rotation ever since, listening to them at least once daily. These albums are still as good as when I first heard them about 6 years ago, and kick the shit out of 95% of pystrance being released today. I really wish more artists still made music like this :(

PEPSI MAX!!!!

;)

i urge EVERYONE to get BUS - morebusinesslinkyouthere... i know i keep banging on about it but i think it's a fucking superb album...

Got it! Your right its a great release, i didn't know it was Aussie, but of course, all good psytrance these days is Aussie %) I particularly enjoy track three, something about Loco Vulcans? Very trance inducing song. Production is really nice, none of thst digital, shear your head off trance, nice warm, satturated sounds.

For guitar trance (and the riffage is overused) i once again urge Wicked by Sun [project, there are some awesome, pumping songs on it. Plus one more, nice analog-sounding production :)

Well errr wooops hehehe... yeah almost forgot for a split second that Mumbo Jumbo did Weird, Sick, Twisted but it was Cosmosis that did a great remix of it :)

Procs and Wizard Twizack next weeks. Now that's some real psychedelic trance. Not to mention a Grapes of Wrath DJ set.

Mmmmm....

I'm a fan of Menis's slightly creepy, spacey psy sound. Hamburger and Loading up the Freeway are lined up to play right now :)
Also, I need to dust off my Auricular: Audion LP. Had a track from there float into my consciousness this afternoon and have been craving a listen ever since.

Ali, Mumbo Jumbo is Cosmosis with another guy named Mitch Davies :)
