^didn't get there in the end. terrible chaos, long story :( needless to say I am shattered...

Picked up a cool CD- The Night Tribe-Vertigo Records. Three artists, 3 songs each, Hocus Pocus, The Nommos (!!!!) and Jellybeanz- i mean jellyheadz =D Worth it just for the three Nommos trax....

I gotta say, I believe the Younger Borther album to be the best Simon Posford work to date....

Eek best to date?

Sounds like he has been listening to too many jam bands (ie disco biscuits) to me.

i don't dislike the album it just seems like a bit of experimental dabbling in uncharted waters.

I feel that it may be step one of a possibly great direction for Posford but i've yet to be convinced. I listened to it a few times, and then lost interest in it, unlike all his other pieces which i have listened to for years.

Interesting. I just feel that Last Days is more of an album then his other works....it seems to flow more and be more coherent. I dunno, I really love that sound of electronics mixed with NORMAL music.

Have a hit of DMT and listen to Psychic Gibbon- mind bending.

So was tribeadelic good?

Yeah i have to remind myself that I have heard all of the previous posford albums under HEAVY influence of mind altering chemicals which may of altered my reception to the albums. It may just take some neuro chemical programming to lock this one in.

I don't dislike it at all. It just seems to be a step in his evolution, and a sign of far better things to come in my mind.

Oh and i love Psychic Gibbon.

Posford's productions warps me right round.

Turkeyphant, he is playing in vICTORIA, Australia for NYE, Tribedelic Gathering as it is called.

Thanks man - wish I could have made it to see him. Wish I could spend NYE over that side of the world one day too!

My NYE was almost too mental. Shift live (and something else ;)) absolutely blew me away.

Last weekend I helped put on a houseparty with quite a few psy DJs at - was rocking until 3pm %)

So can anyone guess who I'm most looking forward to seeing play again at the moment?

^Um....I give up....:( I actually missed the NYE party sadly, BUT saw Kindzadza, LOUD, Shulman and Vishnudata in Melbourne at the afterparty a few weeks later, and Electrpnose the night before...absolutely fucking huge weekend of darkness and psychedelia.

I urge you guys to have get Pentas- Horns Please. Absolute masterpiece, quite a lot better then Portugese Abduction. Stag Party is a great tune, one of the only psy tunes with a Simpsons sample that is good! Also the latest Haldolium- QNT is not bad for very electro-ish trance/house....some ttypical dirty slut-vocals etc. and simple minimalish beats, goood for a change from fullon/dark. Also Hujaboy- Blackbelt is a nice album I recently borrowed froma friend.... M.E.E.O has released his first album which is decent, DemonTea records (I believe an offshoot of sundance) released it; hard to describe, but once again the word electro comes to mind, though this is fast and more full on. Check it out, its available for download pretty much all over the web...poor guy.

Sux that Krumelur has 'broken up' pretty much due to inbred Australian promoters....though Kroppsprak is allegedly still going strong. Never could see much difference between the two personally.....:)

Acid Goblins and The Haunted Castle live! It's gonna be pretty intense.

8o I'm so jealous! What was Shulman like?

Meh - it's a decent enough album but I think his older stuff is far superior.

Hell yeah, have you got their promo- I think its called Wooden Monsters (which is acid goblins and someone else...I think)? Its nice dark forest trance.

As to Shulman, I can't remember- it was early and I was just settling in. Lets assume it rocked. ;)

Whats a older Penta album I should check out? ii'VE ONLY head Pourtygese Abduction and Horns Please..... Also been listebing to a cool dark comp called The Black Sun, featuring Malice in Wonderland, Baphomet Engine, very nice, but slightly inconsistent.

Kindzadza, Error Corrective and Anisetic here this weeekend. I'm gonna give it a miss though, that stuff is a bit too dark for me.

I just want all you non-american fuckers (and i use that term endearingly) are lucky bastards. It seems that your weeklies get the artists I dream of some day seeing, ah well, some day Ill make it over there.

Hopefully gonna hit up BOOM for the summer festival deal, if i can get the funds together, and gather up some good clothing/art to vend (been working my ass off on that), getting UV reactant hand made and painted hoodies and such together with some friends and would love to infect the "overseas" with some art.

SOFT!!!!!!!!! ;) Look, you really have to see Kindzadza, just leave after he's played if you've still got legs- mine danced off sadly.

Australia- well at least the eastern half of it, has a rocking psy scene, mainly because of the close proximity to dense bushland/rainforest. There are legal and illegal parties constantly, and I think a lot of artists like to come to Australia simply because of the enthusiatsic scene.

Got Rainbow Serpent this weekend; Son Kite, Haltya, Kasey Taylor, Ott, Zen Mechanics, Andomeda/Chromosone, Pitch Black etc etc. I hope I make it up there...
