Do you guys think that 4-HO-MIPT/Miprocin has this same quality to it? Does this RC induce as much anxiety as mushrooms usually do? Or more? Or less? What do you guys think of this RC, anxiety/badtrip-wise, compared to mushrooms?

I voted YES because psilocybin is the psychedelic that has given me the most anxiety when i use it.
Anyone?

I've never had anxiety caused by 4-Ho-MIPT or 4-AcO-MIPT, I actually found them to be very relaxing.I'd also like to add that I never had anxiety from 4-AcO-DMT either which seems odd, my highest dose was 25mg.

sorry to get off topic8(

Any "bad" trip ive ever had was on mushrooms. Ive also been in some absolutely terrible environments on other psychedellics and had a great time. Ive also done psilocybe mushrooms a hell of a lot more than other psychedellics.

Id say every single mushroom trip ive had, and ive busted through 3 digits, alwyas began with some very edgy feelings. Usually they subside once the trip is fully engaged, but the beginning is alwyas a bit rough for me. This is not something ive experienced on other (psychedellic) drugs except drugs I was taking for the first time.

Ive had some INTENSELY beautiful experiences on mushrooms, and im not describing them as an anxiety filled headfuck. If they were I wouldnt have eaten them nearly every week for months to years lol. Just saying ive eaten shrooms a TON of times (they practically "grow on trees" 'round here) and always felt very edgy when they kick in. Havent experienced mushrooms in over a year as of right now.

I voted an absolute yes...For me the come-up on mushrooms is white knuckled and anxiety ridden.

I always smoke a few bongs and drink a few beers right after I dose on shrooms.

Makes for a very nice, anxiety free, state of mind to launch into the trip.

Before I started doing that I was always scared to death right before the trip started, anticipating the intensity.

"Edgy" is the right word. I also like the Rollercoaster comparison. Thats whats making the comeup so uncomfortable for me. One second the perception changes roughly and short time after that you feel pretty sober and so on.
But the positive effects balance that out easily. I remember tripping with friends in a rented house in Denmark and the comeup was dominated by anxiety although the set/setting couldnt have been better (Summer after graduation, vacation etc.)
Well, after this anxious phase i cried of laughing for about one hour until my whole neck and collar were covered with tears of joy :D

I used to smoke marijuana as I was coming up on mushrooms, but I learned that this was making my anxiety issues WORSE (PEAs are a different story!). It should be noted that I am not a regular marijuana smoker and have a VERY low tolerance to marijuana, in general.

Actually, on all tryptamines I have stopped mixing marijuana, generally. It does not add what I am looking for (calmness/clearheadedness). YMMV.

mushrooms are actualy the only substance i have found on this earth that will completely and fully cleanse me and heal me of my anxiety and pain for at least a good 24 hours if not t weeks/months/maybe forever. each time it lasts longer. they are sacred.

I don't consider psilocybin/psolicin to be more anxiety-inducing than other psychedelics. However, the side effects that can result from ingesting the 99% of mushrooms that isn't psychoactive can sometimes add an anxious edge to the trip.

While I agree with f&b about the wavelike nature of mushroom trips, I don't find this to be inherently anxiogenic (it all depends on set and setting). Also, I've found that the rollercoaster aspect tends to decrease from mushrooms to mushroom tea to ingesting a pure psilocybin analogue/homologue (e.g. 4-AcO-DMT, 4-HO-MIPT, etc.).

^ That makes sense...

Do you think making shroom tea and taking that rectally would be a good idea? This will definitely be the way I take shrooms if I ever try them again.

mushrooms are a roller coaster, and they hit you in tidal waves. god i love that. actualy not all mushies though. cubensis are the most wavy, whereas with coplandia shrooms, the whole trip is just solid bliss.
ive never heard of rectal shroom tea, but there no reason why it wouldnt work just fine. perosnaly i NEVER make shroom tea, i just gobble them up. becasue heat DOES destroy some psy. pastor david recomended to me once that if anyone were to make a tea out of shrooms they should use cold water. ie powder them, stick em in cold water, and let it sit for a day or even out in the sun like youd make sun tea. i only drank the tea once, and we didnt even boil it, but the effects were shit, cause i ate the same shrooms a couple days later and had one of the most beautiful trips in my life. you have to tell us how good rectal shrooms are if you try it lol! for sure man. and i agree that i dont feel that mushrooms are anxiogenic. as i said, they purify me of my anxieties. i mean i take kpin every day for my bad anxiety. but i stop taking them for a week or so if im going to shroom, and mushrooms are never uncomfortable for me. they just give me views of nirvana
peace

They do for me. The comeup is always a bitch, I don't know why. But as soon as the real effects are starting it eases up and i more often then not get a great trip.

ive only tried 4acomipt but it was a pretty rough comeup ... it was superfast and a real headfuck. way worse than shrooms imo. after that it was smooth sailing though and generally brighter and more lighthearted.

Shrooms give me an intense peace between body and soul. During the come-up, I always feel a bit dizzy like I am drunk, but that passes away after some time.
Acid can really freak me out sometimes, especially when its coming up fast, I might have a little 'panic' attack. And this can disturb my trip very hard.

Shrooms scare the shit out of me. They're just so fucking bizarre and weird I can't help but wonder if my fellow psychonauts are insane. I've had one glorious 4+, my first time, and other amazing +3's. I hold shrooms up with high reverence. I believe they blow away acid in terms of how deep they go. To me, they are THE drug.

I always get TONS of anxiety/nausea during comeup. Its usually during this period I have to say my final prayers and say goodbye to everything.

But once I get to the moment of infinity, everything is OK until my ego starts re-emerging. Then its back to the ego games.

i usually get anxiety on the come up but there are easy ways for me to deal with this. i just line up a movie and maybe a good jimi hendrix album and keep my mind occupied so it doesnt wander. if it does wander a good comedy will make you laugh it off. after you start peaking just do whatever feels right...go with the flow

I've seen people on an eighth of cubensis having a good trip, and when they sparked up their weed, they started freaking out/going into a bad trip. The cannabis increases anxiety for those not familiar with the psychedelic headspace.

It boggles my mind why/how people would smoke pot while tripping on magic mushrooms. I mean, comon - time doesn't exist, and you don't even know who you are. Hell, you should be in another dimension already! It makes me wonder if mushrooms affect me stronger than others.

Inversely, it is always during tripping that I realize I aught to give up weed completely. There have been times when I've wanted to throw away my stash right then and there.

Marijuana always allows me to go deeper into a psychedelic experience. The THC seems to allow more connection to the physical high and greater absorbtion into the mental effects. Also, as it does when not tripping, it allows me to go deeper into meditation, which is how I usually enter into more profound states on psychedelics. I wouldn't say I feel the weed specifically or that I do it for pleasure. If I psychedelic is already strong enough to overwhelm me, I won't smoke during the trip, but oftentimes it takes a vaporized hit or two to launch me from the late come-up into the peak.

Tripping hasn't made me feel like quitting cannabis, but it has made me stop caring about doing it. I still use it, but when I feel it's alright rather than obsessively all throughout the day.
