So, would taking shrooms a week after rolling be a terrible idea? Or is it just the next day?

ALSO, what about poppin' a xanax as you eat the shrooms?

Taking mushrooms a week after rolling probably wouldn't pose any significant problem, tolerance-wise, if that's what you're asking.

Don't take xanax while shrooming. It will lessen the effects of the mushrooms and probably kill the trip altogether, unless that's what you want (if you're bad tripping or something).

In my experience Xanax did absolutely nothing. In all fairness, I may have taken too low a dose.

As for taking it after MDMA, you WILL still be imbalanced a week, even two, after MDMA. THis means that if you're prone to crashing like I am, you are risking a bad time.

Take it from me, you risk more then simply upping your tolerance if you take shrooms after MDMA. I was not feeling anxious at all the day after until I took the mushrooms and it was a hellacious rollercoaster ride. I wept, I laughed, I nearly died (atleast I felt that way), I was FREEZING in a room where everyone else was warm and asleep, quite simply, my body and mind went through hell. I cannot even begin to describe the degree of terror I felt that night.

Take mushrooms and then MDMA if you like, I see nothing wrong with that, but not the other way around.

Personally, yes, that is from my one experience. It just seems logical though... at some level, your brain is trying to refresh itself. You are more prone to anxiety issues the day after MDMA, so when you throw a psychedelic in the mix, especially psilocybin, one that is known to be emotional, you are asking for a rough trip.

I'm not stating a law of nature by my one experience, but just giving a warning because I do not wish that kind of agony on anybody else.

I don't think they are more prone to anxiety than other psychedelics but I agree that the onset can be very unsettling, although that usually passes in under an hour. Kind of reminds me of trtavelling on a passenger jet, the take off can be rough but once you are up and cruising everything is fine.

Well after tripping again on Friday I can say without a doubt there is a strong connection between the anxiety in the come-up and the shrooms. All my friends agreed - they all felt like it was "too much" at times.

I think a lot of psychedelics are overpowering to the mind, but a small part of the drug helps you cope with it and makes it seem natural. Shrooms seem to have less of a built-in "coping" system to them. They throw you an experience and let your mind wander about until it decides that things are going badly.

I kept having to fight the rising fear and anxiety in the come-up but I managed and was very pleased with my trip.

I've heard of good and bad things coming from Xanax+shrooms. I oftentimes take a small dose of xanax when I start coming down, in order to calm my brain down and prepare for sleep. It's worth a shot, but I would suggest trying a low dose at first.

My favorite time to trip on mushrooms is the night after rolling. The MDMA comedown (depression/etc) may have a part in bringing you a bad trip...however, I say you should just take this as challenge of your mental strength =) I like it because the thoughts and feelings from the roll are still fresh in my mind and give me a little kick-start on what to think about while tripping

Not the best advice.

If you're manic-depressive like yours truly, "mental strength" is irrelevent and a bad trip could mean serious trauma.

It all depends if your up to it.I don't really think the MDMA will effect the mushroom trip to much but I don't have day/week/month after MDMA troubles like some.I'd also like to add I don't really think accepting a trip has anything to do with mental strength.I would also recommend not taking the xanax.;)

I can attest to this. I get all energetic and excited, sometimes butterflies in my stomach. It doesn't take long for mushrooms to have their affect on me however, as I usually fast the entire day, and upon ingesting them can feel them start to take affect immediately. Until they start to take a more profound affect (visuals starting, the body high is full force, and my mind starts to wander) I usually get bouncy and eager in anticipation of the trip.

I love mushrooms. :)

If you want a challenge of your 'mental strength' try rubbing habanero chillies into your genitals and not screaming, but psilocybin has nothing to do with it In fact metal strengthy is usually linked to iron will/rigid thinking individuals and I've noticed that they're the ones that have trobles whe a large dose of psychedelics kicks in. In fact, giving up control in a heavy onset situation is probably seen as the antithesis of mental strength among people who prize the rigid thinking mindset

i voted yes, even though i think aya and yopo give you equal amounts of anxiety. i am yet to do a really a really substantial 2ce trip, but so far acid and pea's give me much less anxiety.

True, but the funny thing is, I had an oxy in my hand the entire time...I could of aborted the trip or atleast made it better the entire time, but I chose to ride out because I decided I was going to ingest the mushrooms the day after ecstasy and I was going to learn my lesson and not just bail out like some spineless tit.

Good for you, I think that's a courageous thing to do, something I lot of people would never consider. Did you take any positive out of the bad trip? I've never had one but I've heard a bad trip can be one of your best once you look back on it. I guess even the fact that you pushed yourself through without bailing proves a degree of mental strength you may not have known you had in you.

I don't know if mushrooms relates to more anxiety but they make me more confused than other psychedelics. It's like I am having difficulty of coordination. I don't know if it's an issue related to psycilobin or other compounds in the mushroom.

When coming down from MDMA I tried both Xanax and Mushrooms. I can say that Mushrooms are the best for me.Xanax takes away the anxiety but disrupts the REM cycle/sleep. Mushrooms may send you directly to hell after MDMA because of already crashed serotonin levels. But if you can get out of that hell I think it may restore a little bit the imbalance that MDMA caused. But still one should "know thyself"...

you must get crappy shrooms if you have to take 8g. either that or you have a massive tolerance. try home grown

I must have missed this reply -

No, they weren't crappy mushrooms (far from it), and I didn't need to eat 8g. I did anyway, thats the whole point. That kind of dose will redefine tripping for you. I was saying that doing that sort of thing a number of times may have something to do with why mushrooms make me anxious now. Its almost beyond anxiety... I have a weird fear of them, of sorts.

There are two kinds of anxiety on mushrooms, the conscious and the unconscious. The conscious being the discomfort found during the beginning. The unconscious being found during the peak when you are really not aware of your body anymore. This latter kind of anixety very much scares and intrigues me. It is a powerful place.
