I think i've only heard this song in passing once or twice so not super familiar. I think he hit some really good notes in there, but there was some of it I wasn't crazy about. Of course I imagine Chris could sing this way better, but Levine did better than I thought and, Cornell is one of the best ever and hardest to cover.

I think I'm just not crazy about the song itself or how its structured, or that weird guitar tuning lol

Yeah, I made sure to check the op to be sure the thread title wasn't literal. Doesn't have to be better than the original, just good. I thought it was a valiant attempt. Adam actually is very talented and has good taste, despite his mainstream career success.

Covering it didn t hellp, my soggies went down soon as i turned up the vloume.
Not in any sexual ment way, to make of a flut song [Purple Rain] a good cover, takes some magic.

Seems missing i am thinking a Dub -Bass - non vocal -Underground type cover might be best.
For such songs. Though Billy Eilish and brother cover of 'Bad'worked.
