I
Firstly, I thought you had used your forehead to post but guessing you're Dutch...so fair enough!
Opera singers; going to do operatics. Guess it's an occupational hazard - Pavarotti had a fucking amazing set of lungs that came out through those sweet vocal chords - commercial interest brought Italian opera into the mainstream - not a bad thing imho - not necessarily edgy, music wise; not necessarily 'deep'- but i guess neither is doing a slow camera shot of the Hilton in a vid intro highlighting 'the artist at work amid the torment of capital gains'.
I like that vid, though.
Irony cannot be ironed.
Kid trauma my Granny worked in the Theatre, she got lots of free tickects.
And kids should be exposed to different culture s/ art and music forms.
Saw Opera s, stopera s, and those Chinese drummer s. Now i would find actually cool.
But during the first two, we the kids sneaked away to eat the buffet s cookies.
And throw sugarcubes from the private boxes that were high and perfect hide outs.
So that might explain it, I hated classic music just because.
It was always played in the dentist waiting room, Pavlov.
Got over that, maybe Opera to but i get a very Andre Rieu feel from it.
While i don t get it with throat singing or church guire s.
The Hilton roof, had a meaning. He was gonna end his live there.
It was his 2-nd home, the bar. One night went to the roof jumped down RIP
11-6 or 6-11 for US, 2001 he jumped, so this recording just a moment before.
Same with Jan Rot s Dutch [translated] amazing version.
Totaly different. Excact same feel.
