Is there something she can tell the pharmacy so that they will give her another brand like IVAX ... I haven't had any bad experiences with these... I think she has gotten them on occassion.

No, it's the physician's discretion. If you look on your script you'll see an area that says something to the effect of "do not substitute". So I suppose you could ask the doctor but you'd really have no practical reason to do so.

I agree with you ktx49. When i take namebrand oxy's or the same amount(same amount of oxycodone of course) of percocet i notice that the perc's are quite stronger. Although i dunno why this is. I just wanted to let you know that i know what you are talking about.

one thing forsure is perc's are instant release, nothing holding them back from absorbtion... where I think with oxy's the time release still has some effect even if you grind it into a really fine powder... it must still have some time release... don't you think parad.?

I wonder if someone were to grind them up really fine and put them a 5-10mls of hot water and apply heat like you're prepping them for injection.... but then take the solution and drink it... that would prob. get rid of the time release...
what do you think everyone?

see I AM NOT crazy.

i ran out of my percocets last week, and this weekend i was taking just OCs to get high....I WAS TAKING NEARLY 40-60mg MORE to catch the same buzz.

this is completely crushed and either parachuted/snorted, if you tell me this is placebo or my fault, i'll slap you.

they were brand name OxyContin 40s if you were wondering...
