LSD for many reasons, but the biggest reason that i prefer lsd, is that music sounds amazing. with mushrooms, music is good but not great

^^

I don't think I can agree with you about the music on mushrooms thing, but all well. Apparently I voted LSD at some point, but thinking on it now I have little preference. If I someone offered me a choice between a dose of each, I'd probably go with the L but simply because I it's less readily available for me.

They're just different experiences, both of which I enjoy.

I'll get off my lazy ass and acquire some 4-aco-dmt one of these days and give that a go. :)

LSD definitely has more bang for the buck. It's by far and away my favorite long lasting (two hours or more) psychedelic that I have tried.

Mushrooms are like being embraced in an ancient womb; acid is like being plugged into an electric socket. But my three or four acid trips have done more good for my personality and attitude than the 15 prior mushroom trips. Acid is fun until hours 8-12, which I usually spend in a tent waiting for the sun to rise, hallucinating, thinking thinking thinking, alert for no reason at all, paying attention to nothing at all, but paying close attention... but then again I think that bit of suffering in the end might cast and harden some of the lessons you've learned, a baptism by fire sort of thing. Acid is special. Mushrooms are special. That's all I can say./

I chuckle how some people believe LSD to be more intense than Psilocybin, but I guess it all depends on the person, set, and setting. I've had high doses of both, and LSD just can't hold a candle from my experiences. With LSD I could still move and see the world around me (a very different world mind you), but with shrooms, my God, it scared the living hell out of me the first time it happened. I lost all control of my body, language ceased to have any meaning, and my world (including myself) were lost to me. VERY DMT like in my opinion. I was lost floating around in my mind trying to find myself for what seemed like an infinite amount of time, not even realizing I took a drug. Numerous patterns akin to Alex Grey's work and tribal noises were around every bend. Needless to say, this trip changed my life and now have the utmost respect for those little munchies.

Maybe LSD can produce something like this, but as of yet, I haven't seen anything close.

Vote goes to psilocybin. :)

with lsd, i get the sense that im on a drug that is making me high, while on mushrooms i feel as if ive found a place that is altered but somehow removed from the intoxicating states of all other drugs (lsd included). Without fail, everytime i trip on mushrooms i get the strangest sensation of literally being a transient whisp of energy completely connected and part of the earth and all other life. Its as if shrooms break down the barrier that we as humans have created due to our massive ego's. Lsd allows me plenty of insight but its not nearly as humble an experience. Like everyone has said, they are both great tools for two very different types of learning and experience.

vote has to go to the fungus though, its changed me in many lasting, positive ways as a person and member of the planet.:)

Psylocibin wins over c'cid each and every time for me.

Done acid a lot more but psylocibin just feels more natural. I feel way more in touch with the planet and things around me.

On a tangent, same with Torch. Mescaline is the bomb. Shame you have to neck so much cactus... that aint pleasant and the nausea / throwing up can be horrible. Worth it though IMO.

For me LSD is more clean and less drug-like than mushrooms, how odd to hear other people's expereinces.

For some reason when I take mushrooms the body-high is so excessive I feel like I'm on a euphoric stimulant or something. Feels more harder on the body too and I generally don't take the drug as serious as LSD.

On LSD the body high is not as intense and I experience a pleasurable sense of energy within my soul rather than a stoned-body high from mushrooms. I tend to enjoy this more as it allows me to experience the trip than feel the vasco-constriction u get from shrooms. It seems more intense and gives me anxiety all the time, damn mushrooms!

^ agreed
that seems to be the main reason people like acid more. it's stronger (and thus feels more "spiritual") and easier on the system. it's clean and slick, whereas shrooms are wild and messy. If your gut is particularly good at chewing through them then they would be more attractive. but as it is when it comes to drugs other than weed I usually prefer synthetics.

I've noticed that, while on mushrooms, my body tends to feel really strange. It's almost like I feel stiff or like a piece of wood or something. I can really feel every movement I make and my joints feel like rusty hinges. It isn't particularly pleasant, so I tend to sit still for most of my trips.

Is this normal or common?

Same here. The best way I can describe it without technical terms is I feel more organic than I already was and because of this the way I peceive my limbs like you said it makes me feel more vunerable/hinge joints that are just hanging.

It isn't pleasent I agree but I always reminds myself I took shrooms and its not a big deal.

I think it depends on the person. I was scared off psychodelics for a long time after a bad LSD trip (I unwittingly took too much, and was in an inappropriate, overstimulating environment). However recently me and some friends ate four toadstools each, they all had mild experiences, they were just a bit stoned and giggly.

I on the other hand forgot who I was and went on an intense, very visual, six hour long trip into what at the time I thought was the spirit world, a secret living world behind all inanimate surfaces, even though (when not tripping) I'm strictly an atheist with no spiritual beliefs. Absolute ego and identity loss, everything was writhing and responsive and alive, eyes and psychodelic patterning were emerging from everywhere. It was quite over the top, but very positive, everything seemed to be a wonderful complex joke that was slowing unfolding. Much stronger than LSD as I have ever known it, more positive and much more visual.

But there may have been active ingredients other than psilocin in the toadstools.

"everything seemed to be a wonderful complex joke that was slowing unfolding"

I love that aspect of psychedelics

Never really heard of that before :)

Mushrooms make me light and melty once i have gone past the peak.

psychedelics can have any effect (i.e. can give you any feeling) that basically exists, drawing from your expectations and so on. there's nothing about shrooms that would necessarily make them make you feel like a tree or a pond, it's all in your head. once you understand this tripping (and life) becomes easier

I have had several same unpleasant body feelings on both LSD and with my last Mushroom experence, I didn't feel stiff but actually felt that parts of my body were missing, such as half my head had dissappeared or all my teeth were all gone. Purely psychological phenomena though.

But some of my friends have physical reastions to Mushrooms like an upset stomach, cramps and such, after all it is a mild form of poisoning, others like myself find them as tasty and edible as supermarket mushrooms. Personally I would avoid anything that made me feel like a bit of wood with rusty hinges: unless you were experienceing life as an antique cupboard?

I cant choose, ive done shrooms only once and acid quite a few times so I need some more experience but from what ive experienced thus far I like mushrooms because they do feel much more natural and less body load and less mind fuck, but acids visuals and mind fuck are also awesome and now that I think about it I probably like LSD more, the only downside being that the day after LSd is not good for me and its definitely not a social drug for me.

After years of waiting I finally got my hands on some L for the first time recently... I have had 10+ great mushie trips- none resembling another.

To be honest, I was a little nervous when I finally took the lsd- I was expecting to be "blown out of the universe". However, I was amazed at how gentle and different the lsd was than anything else I had ever experienced. It was the first time I felt absolutely clean throughout the trip, I could keep my thoughts organized, socialize, analyze clearly, etc. I ran around town with a good friend and ran into many other friends, and was able to keep my cool and carry a good, lighthearted conversation.. If you were to ask me to do that on shrooms I'd just laugh... and laugh.. and laugh.. and.. you get the point.

From my own experience, I'd say that every one of my shroom trips (each at least 3.5 g's) was waaaay more intense and had more of an overall "intoxicating" effect than the 'cid did. However, with those effects come some incredibly enlightening moments. And for that reason, my vote will stick with mushrooms for the time being ;) .

I voted for LSD, because I love its effects more. LSD is pure pleasure, mindfuck, and giggles for me. I do believe that mushrooms can take you a bit farther a bit easier, however.

which gets you more for your $
Obviously, psilocin/mushrooms/4-ACO-DMT is much, much cheaper to have a hard trip on than LSD.

In order to do a large dose of LSD (700+mics), you have to spend like almost $XXX. And sometimes it's like 50mcg/hit these days. So, I like acid better, but it's way more expensive.

I could get a gram of 4-ACO-DMT for the price of 15 hits of acid (like 2 trips for me) and trip 40 times.

So i'm torn.
