Please compare Ketamine vs. Heroin

Do you think the heroin dealers stop to make sure that their cuts are okay for IV?

From my experience, it is fairly well known among most real dope dealers what inactive cuts work well for IVing. If that weren't the case then every other junky you meet would have abscesses.

Jamshyd, if you mean taking care of the needle after an IM injection, i don't think that will be a problem. It takes up to 10 minutes for me from injection to out of body.

Nope, I was refering to I.V. ;). Sorry if I wasn't clear.

Has anyone ever mixed ketamine and heroin in the same rig and IVed it? I'am somewhat interested in this experince, and am wondering if its worth even doing it.

iving k is not the safest thing. you'd be better off IMing the K and then immediately after IVing the dope. or you could have a friend shoot you right when you feel the k kicking in

With ketamine and dope you have to COMBINE them, im serious its fuckin crazy. Its a fact that if you dose ketamine along with morphine/heroin you only need 75% of your normal dose to get the smae effects. Try it youll see, Peace and be good man

I normally shoot around 1/3 of a bag of heroin if I want to get high, and it takes me around 95mg's of IMed K to khole me.

Any dosage suggestions?

What's wrong with IV'ing K? To my knowledge, IM is riskier.

IV ketamine is an almost instant anaesthetic effect; to the point of not being able to get the needle out in time. It also can entail collapsing and all the dangers that come with it. With sterile solns. IM is less dangerous as there's less chance of phlebitis etc and you also have a couple of minutes to get yourself comfortable before it kicks in properly.

On a different topic, I think that ketamine is most probably the best candidate I've come across that matches the 'soma' of Huxley's novel 'Brave New World' in that it produces a very realistic, chemical 'holiday' (much moreso than mescaline that Huxley was interested in at the time)

I don't really believe that whole needle out in time stuff. You still have 8 seconds until it hits your brain, which is plenty enough time to set the needle away.

Does anyone lounge around with the needle still in them when the rush occurs?

Is Brave New World a good book? I hear alot about it and read some stuff about it recently. Wouldn't be any time soon if I started it, currently in love with Atlas Shrugged.

I enjoyed Brave New World. Once you finish Atlas Shrugged, give it a whirl.

As I mentioned before in this thread (heh), IV Ketamine and Heroin is one of my favourite combos. In fact, Ketamine and Heroin are two of my "holy trinity" (third being DPT, which I haden't had the balls yet to IV :D)

However, I have not attempted it untill I was comfortable IVing both H and K separately.

For me and everyone I know, we never had the K hit fast enough for one to pass out before taking care of the needle. But I've heard stories of such.

Its a very werid and interesting high, but PLEASE don't attempt it untill you are comfortable with IVing each drug separately.

^ Can you describe the experince?

Is it different from a IM injection? How fast is the onset? What is your usual dosage, and at what dosage did you start?

Keep in mind that benzos, and definitely barbiturates, lessen the psychedelic effects of Ketamine. Though I do agree that they prevent that annoying hyperexcitability that happens after a dose of K (though I found this goes away with tolerance).

Actually I don't think this is a fact. Benzodiazepines might actually potentiate the ketamine as it works on the glutamate and GABA receptors. Benzos agnonising this activity.

^ No, benzos lessen the symptoms of the 'emergence reaction' (coming out of the k-hole), that's why they're generally given in combination with ketamine for anaesthesia for kids (also why tiletamine, used in vet. med., comes combined with a benzo in soln.). As the 'emergence reaction' is essentially the psychedelic activity people are looking for, benzos reduce the psychedelic activity; they also add to the amnesia that occurs with ketamine - combine the two and you'd chance to remember fuck all.

As for the needle being left in, I think it's occurred in people who tend to draw back and flush the syringe with blood before re-injecting it to get every last bit of drug (seems to happen quite often with heroin on its own). The same thing happens with IV barbiturates (OD victims have been found dead with needle still in their arm - I've seen a forensic photo of a barb OD like that), IV barbiturates being also used as an anaesthetic agent - well an induction agent for anaesthesia

Interesting, I've been applying drugs to my brain on and off for over 17 years and I never knew about how psychoactivly powerful this one was. The search intensifies and continues.

The experience, to me, is something like this: After injecting, count a few heartbeats and suddenly your body is turned into nothingness and your mind is extremely euphoric. It is less psychedelic than K on its own, and more stimulating (to the mind only, not the body!) than H alone.

I only did it a few times, and I find that there is a lack of a "k-hole"... its just a really powerful K rush that quickly (faster than K on its own) disintegrates into an enhanced H high. In other words, the H is always dominant.

I think it is really not much more than an enhancement for the H if you initially enjoy IVing both.

K_B: GABA and Glutamate are two different transmitters :)

Thanks Zet, will do that. But... The Fountainhead and We the People!

Good point about those reflushers fastandbulbous.

I haven't read anything by Huxley, but I really doubt it could be better than Rand. I've read quite a few authors and she is pretty high up on my list (De Sade, Jennings....). Off topic, sorry.

Be careful with that ket though. I absolutely hated it. Ultra short duration though. Like you blink and it's gone.
