perth meetup...

Hey guys hope everyone is going well.

Global looks the go for the meetup boys and girls and I reccomend we arrange the meetup at a pub first as was said before, it just makes it a little more organised I think instead of just talking to randoms when we get there. :)

So post your reccomendations here - somewhere central I suppose is the go but I'm easy =D (not THAT kind of easy) ;)

Global is 18+

I will be down for a meetup, but it is clear now no bluelighters will be encouraging or condoning stupid behaviour. Especially comments about how ...... you will be on the day and such.

Perth bluelighters will be having a meetup at or around Global Festival and that is the only thing we will be doing there.

long break, from bl, from the scene, and especially from those evil droogs.

inglewood sounds good, just up the road from me, maybe a few pm's are in order.

as for global, i will be there, want to see big black cox again, it's been far too long. if you want to catch up, pm me.

Global goes from 12 noon till 12 midnight. So meeting up somewhere else at 5 in the arvo might be a bit of a mission? I say we meet somewhere at the event itself.

Drug Awareness

Hi everyone, long time no write. A BIG HELLO =D to all those who haven't seen me on the board before ... you won't hear any "newbie/old skool" discrimination from Miss Flea's corner of the Perth camp! [yes I'm turning over a new leaf] Welcome Greenlighters, and I hope you enjoy your time on Bluelight :)

Now there's good news and there's bad news .... let's get the bad news out of the way first.

THE BAD NEWS is that people don't seem to be listening to the warnings, especially from the Perth crew who have been posting on Bluelight for a number of years. The reason for heeding their advice is not because they are "old skool" or think themselves to be "cooler".

The reason for heeding their advice is because a few years ago, a significant string of police raids occurred, all on young people's homes, some of which culminated in arrests. The link appeared to be Bluelight.

What this means is that the Perth Police are observing these message boards more carefully than we think. Obviously they can't read everything that is here, but potentially, a thread specifically about Perth might pique their interest.

Thus I urge everyone to exercise caution when talking about:

(a) gathering in a group at dance events well-known to be populated by drug users and drug dealers
(b) gathering in a group whilst on drugs or whilst carrying drugs

Remember that Bluelight is viewed by the authorities primarily as a drug discussion message board. No matter how innocent or social our talk may be......

And now for the Good News ! :D

Count me in for a meet-up!!! A pub afternoon or a BBQ sounds like a great idea. If you want to do something different to accomodate for all-ages, I would be happy to organise a laser-tag session at minimal cost.

What say you, Perth Blue Crew? =D

I think it would be wikid stix to do it like at a farm or somewhere with big open spaces.
I don't know, it's just a suggestion.
I would love it either way though.
 
I strongly urge all of the new BL'ers to listen to Miss Flea and Fry-d - getting your house raided is not fun to say the least. I don't want people to get paranoid, but some sort of safety precaussions would be advisable.

I'm all for a meet-up, but unfortunately, I will not be attending Sci-Fi this year, but if you guys are all going to meet-up for drinks then count me in!
 
How about a meetup at the Inglewood or another pub on the Saturday before Global ? This way people won't be risking having something on them , we get to meetup in a casual atmosphere (mmm laidback bozzy shananagins) then we can organize a place to meet with others who are attending global ? :\

I see this the best way to get numbers attending, the only discrepancy is which pub ?

Somewhere easy to get to, chilled vibe and some pool tables would be good. As it stands the Inglwood seems the go however any objections followed by a suggestion are welcome.

sum1 with pool tables wood be ideal but wat about all the under age ppl? how about sumwher in town (easy transport) i still rekon zone 3 is the way to go (maybe cruise down to a pub or a pot blak or sumthin afterwards)

Saturday or Sunday before sci-fi sounds good to me.

Re underagers- I don't think the Inglewood employs door staff except during gigs. (Not the last time i was there, anyway)
 
thats good to hear, inglewood pub is like near morley and inglewood inglewood pool or sumthin innit? (group up in noranda til i was like 7 cant rememer much of it now)
