Peaches Geldof - at the going down of the sun etc

Great taste Izz. Those were the days when everyone had bad hair ;)

My mate xxxx was crippled when a Lizzy speaker stack fell on him. He roadied for them. He has a gorgeous watch that Phil gave him. He is creditted by name on one of their live albums, so I know he's for real.

Nice point up above, about the Boyzone guy. I had that pegged as a drugs related fatality too. I'm far from infallible!

Ooh good, the thread has veered off-topic at last. =D

For what it's worth, I've never encountered a floating shit in a pool. Lots of dead frogs, though, which is almost as unappealing.
 
Just to clarify, the turd in my incident wasn't floating it was sat in the corner of the pool lurking. A far more disturbing trait for a turd than floating (at least when trying to be aware of its existence and avoid it it is).
 
I would like to state that I was not in the pool with previously mentioned turd either. In fact the incident happen a couple of years before I started at the school, but by then Aqua Borry's reputation preceded him. Even my mother would refer to the shop that his parents owned as "Aqua Borry's".

I know she has used drugs in the past, but I don't believe she had a known drug problem? Having had a mother who died from an OD & having 2 children, I don't know... she seemed to have it together, so why would she be taking a dangerous combination or doses of illegal drugs? According to the Daily Fail, I mean Mail... the Police found no evidence of 'Hard Drugs' ; of course that doesn't mean they didn't find any drugs at all.

I would suspect a fatal reaction of some sort of prescription or non-prescription drug would be more likely if drugs were the cause. It's pure speculation though, just because she was 25 & had used drugs in the past doesn't mean she died from drugs. Let's hope so :\

I hear the Post-Mortem is taking place today but it might be a while before we hear the results.
 
She looked so frail the last few years, even after/during pregnancy. She had lost a significant amount of weight, but looked so fragile to me recently. Could be heart related, due to a myriad of reasons. Read some speculative article about her existing on a largely liquid diet, so many factors like stress, malnutrition, eating disorders, medications, etc... could have easily played a role, separately or cumulatively. No one will know until the autopsy, but regardless of status, wealth, privilege, nepotism, or any other label people wish to throw around, she seemed very dedicated to her role as mother and it's not only sad on it's own merits, but also unsettling as it has traces of her mother's fate lingering about. Don't have much else to say, but I feel sorry for her husband and children both now and in years to come.
 
Yeah people were saying that she had been looking alarmingly thin recently. There was never anything wrong with her weight, it really is a shame when girls who look great just as they are feel pressurised into starving themselves into skeletal forms. Nicole Kidman for example, wtf is she doing to herself, she looked great before she got into this size zero obsession thing.

I feel really sorry for Bob Geldof. I cant even really imagine how much it must hurt. I hope its some consolation for him that he has a large family and that Peaches left him Grandchildren.
 
I don't know Bob Geldof. I met him once in Camden market, pre-BandAid shite. He looked rough as fucked and junked up to the eyeballs. He smelled bad.

I feel sorry for people i know, for my mate Brad's family, his parents, his Uncles, his brothers and cousins. His grandmother who doted on him. These are real people to me, not some wank fodder Ive read about in newspapers and magazines.

Yeah, sorry Paula Peaches. My perspective must be skewed eh?
 
I feel sorry for Bob Geldof because i like and admire him, even though i dont know him, never met him or even exchanged messages on an internet forum with him, he has shown his personality through his TV apperances and writings, so in a sense people do feel as if they know him as with many celebrities these days that are very public and open about everything, especially the ones that write autobiographies. It is as if they are reaching out to people and trying to get them to connect with them and to like them.

Though i feel its very sad and tragic that Peaches has died I dont pretend to feel any grief for her death as i didnt know her nor formed any real emotional attachemnt to her, though i feel as if i have for Bob Geldof. It is possible to like and even love and feel for people you dont know though ? IME anyway. Do some people not genuinely like each other on here (when many people havent met each other in person) or is it all fake? Peaches wasnt just wank fodder, she was the pride of a devoted and admired father.

PR is everything for the famous. You know how many 'yes men' exist out there, particularly in A&R?

Gut instinct. Are there no historic characters that you admire ? Marx and Engels for example ?

Something tells me Bob Geldof could have a very irritating side to his nature that would wind some people up, but he has so many other redeeming qualities that more than make up for his human flaws. Imo plenty of people on TV and autobiographies come across genuinely exactly as they really are in person. They are no more putting on an act than anyone does when they meet other people in person. It doesnt take a dose of psychedelics to be able to see who is faking things and who is genuine, whether we are talking about celebrities or people you know in real life.
 
Marx was a wife beater. Engles dad owned a factory that didn't exactly practice Marxism.

I'll have to disagree with the 'how celebrities' come across on TV'. PR and yes men are there for a reason.

Just not many I'd wish to name on a drug forum. And don't mix up what they achieved with what they are.
