Wow I just went searching; I knew there was incompletion and lulz worthy problems, but the pics I saw had me in hysterics :D

50 bil, Putin put his reputation on it, and besides for the sports being fantastic, the infrastructure and how it shows no amount of money will compensate for incompetence is hilarious
 
^Hey, the Russkies killed many stray dogs before the games with some of that money. And they've got an insane security apparatus. The hotel service failures are hilarious though.

I've been enjoying the snowboarding events. I'm most looking forward to ice dancing, since our Davis/White are ama~zing (While we suck hard at pairs skating, we're badass ice dancers. Yes, I had to look up the difference.), and women's figure skating (I'm calling Kim Yuna for the gold, Julia Lipnitskaia for silver, and Gacie Gold for bronze).
 
Yar, corruption and mafia state to the max. All the olympic games I've seen in my life had no major issues like this. I think it's just comical how he staked his reputation on it and now it's a shambles.

Sure am dude; CBC. The plus of being unemployed during the olympics when it's on the other side of the globe is that I can stay up and watch most of it live.

I gotta admit; figure skating/ice dancing is my least favorite olympic sport, which I'm sure is a shame for reasons I don't know of. It's very popular up here and they devote a lot of broadcast time to it, and I end up watching more of it than I'd like. (please don't hurt me)

I'm sure everyone has an olympic sport they don't find particularly interesting though.

edit: Sorry dude; douchey thing to say, my tiredness is coming through. I'll retract some of that. The technical skill involved rivals that of any other sport. I naturally tend to gravitate to sports that involve speed and aerial acrobatics. It's the same deal with curling. It's extremely technical, but slow and unexciting relative to alpine and snowboardcross.
For you I'll take more of an interest in it and give it a chance to grow on me.

We have a Canada vs. America women's hockey game coming up.

One sport I really wish they didn't get rid of: alpine downhill snowboard racing. Of course they kept the quintessential downhill skiing, but I really wish they still had the board analogue.

People with brooms help somebody slide a rock into a circle, I find the concept silly enough to enjoy.

I like aerial acrobatics well enough, but speed/racing doesn't get my goat (except when skis or snowboards are involved).

Not normally my thing, but ladies' events are usually better, and I want us to beat you, so I'm gonna try to catch that.

No reason. Trying to figure the 'why' part though. I don't feel one way or another and don't have any reason not to trip. It's been about a month since I tripped last.

The ones I get most are the ones I have personal experience with namely ski/board/x-country/biathlon (sort of; separately). The ones that are crazy fast are interesting too (bobsleigh/luge/skeleton), but I and most others never get a chance to experience that on the casual sport level.

My factors would be.. Is it too late in the day? Do I care if I'm up all night? Do I have any things I need to do in the next two days, because chances are, like usual, that I'd be lethargic for a couple of days after a trip.

lol remember when he was on like 30+ mg of 2c-e or something like that and dudes tried to break into his apartment screaming "give us all your internet drugs". that shit was intense, he was like reporting on it to us in real time while it was happening, and then afterwards he had to talk to a bunch of cops while tripping his nuts off. i'll never forget that
