@Xorkoth I relate a lot man, my mom is similar.

the vet didn't prescribe him/her anything? When my friend BF was passing the vet had no problem giving him a tiny little fentanyl patch to ease his last few days

other cats I've been with, it happened more suddenly.

Nope, no medication. It was like they just wrote him off, IMO. But he purrs heavily and nuzzles a lot and is sweet when we hang out with him.

My mom still isn't hanging out with him, she is just so wrapped up in her thing. I hope she doesn't get another cat. She doesn't treat him bad but he needs so much more attention and consideration. I'm glad we get to be here with him for his final days.

:( damn dude

You're strong for taking him on.

I'm sure he if no one else appreciates it

I saw a tiny little black kitten today... tried to save him but I was at work and had to leave... trying not to think about it. My heart absorbs everything.

He uses testosterone and some other stuff. I think if I ever go on testosterone, it will be under the direction of a doctor.
Yeah, good plan. The endocrine system is freakishly complicated. Learning how to dope properly is a full time job. One thing I have heard is that the injections are better than the gel. The gel is just really erratic in terms of serum concentration, and it's next to impossible to keep off of your partner, etc.

I'm grateful that he gets to spend time with people who understand and care about him.

I love both of those things. Especially feta stuffed olives
Exactly yeah, I generally love olives, black, green, there's like a specialist store not too far from here, it's expensive but I indulge from time to time. I went years being an olive with garlic and basilicum and other seasoning purist, really enjoying it, still even. The best thing is when there's like a reception on something, the non fancy ones will put out like salted potato chips, it's like the meme: I sleep. But olives? Real shit. I can't recall any time that I particularly enjoyed feta though.

But here is something about the feta and how it goes with olives, after every cheese block I want an olive, after every olive I want feta. 10/10

I have never liked olives. There is something about the flavor I find gross. I will eat them but I just don't really like them. Everyone else I know is like OMG OLIVES YOU'RE CRAZY. Wish I was, I like most things and would like to like olives.

I love salty foods and do not care much for olives either. Too oily for me, I think.

Mmmmm. I love olives. Green ones... Black ones...

I really like the ones they put in the martinis at the cheesecake factory. Those are stuffed with blue cheese!!!

I like my gin martinis extra dry. Extra dirty, too!! (Lots of olive juice)

Blue cheese huh, never was a particular fan.

Maybe it'll also become a feta type story for me, I'll patiently await that day

I love feta!! I like olives with feta, too!! Usually that combo happens in Greek salads.

I had a really excellent gyro the other day. It was sliced lamb instead of processed kebab. Man it was delicious!! So juicy and tender.

Roqueforte, can be tasty.

I don't think I ever liked stilton.

But Roquefort actually gave me a bacterial infection one time, common in cattle and sheep called Bruscella.

Problem with blue cheese really is the exceptional artificial salt content.

Vs a good mozzarella at the other end of the scale. Like 3.5% vs 0.5%.

My oldest friend came over today, and my brother, and we spent all day chillin'. It was such a great day. I taught my friend some crypto basics like how to use metamask and signed him up for some exchanges. He's done so much research but just has been lacking in some of the fundamental how-to basics. Aside from that, we talked for hours and hours about politics, the state of the world, the state of technology, and any number of other topics. It was really great to see him and catch up. This is the friend who was psychotic on meth a few years back. I'm so glad he's doing so well, he uses kratom and caffeine and is happy with that level of drug use, and is saving tons of money and investing it. Bought a new car outright, still living with his parents so all of his money is basically going into savings. He's nervous about going out on his own again but is feeling very stable and thinks that soon he'll be ready to get his own place and start moving on with his life.

But more importantly, do you sometimes hunt animals with bow and arrow?
=D
Nope. I work outdoors and have very little interest in spending any more time freezing my nuts off in the pre-dawn woods than I already do. I seldom eat meat anyway, so that's even less of an incentive, especially since I can get good beef from the family farm.

My brothers hunt and I work with several bow hunters, so I hear about it non-stop this time of year. It sounds satisfying, but also like a tremendous amount of work.
