heh, i remember going to a medical themed night out, and every guy was a doctor and all the girls were nurses... the shots came in syringes, and the beers in bedpans :P

i kinda like themed drunk night out...
 
^ That's insane. And a pipe organ? WTF? :D

I love the 19th century stock bottles, not a sigma label or an orange cap corning in the place. It's pretty antiquated, I wonder if it's real and what the guy uses it for?
 
Haha yeah -- the pipe organ is pretty darn random. :D

I bet that thing cost an absurd amount of cash, as well - he could have probably equipped the lab with an NMR spectrometer if he'd foregone that extravagant addition. Realistically, you could probably do some serious work in that lab if you got some decent analytical instrumentation, a rotovap, a few preparative columns, and installed a fume hood with a nice schlenk line setup.

Yea for as nice and cool as that lab looks, probably could have used money more wisely and made something more modern and capable of some more interesting chemistry
 
Don't get me wrong... is a beautiful set up, but were are beyond the days of washing hands in benzene and inhaling mass quantities of fumes

Finals week this week... procrastination hitting me hard
 
^If it makes you feel better, I have 16 hours of testing over Tues/Wed this week...last major hurdle in the medical licensure process. There are a lot of fucking hurdles.

And on top of that, I have one day off between now and December 28th. I'll be working a stretch of nights in a super busy Emergency Dept over xmas. :-/

i hate wine though (i havent tried white wine, but red is nasty as fuck/llama will not drink from his troph).
 
Man, maybe I should run down to the liquor store real quick and pick up some vodka just in case I need it...or I could just be happy with this and wait 'till tomorrow to do that. Hmmmm.

And you don't care for booze to begin with llama. So it doesn't really matter, plus I wouldn't be drinking this if it weren't the best value for amount of booze you get given the money I have to work with.
 
I had the greatest day ever. Tattooed up nice for free by my good pal smoking butts and talking philosophy all day, outta' nowhere, he sketches up a rough drawing and bam puts it on me.

Getting tattooed on dissociatives feels SO fucking good. It's like the greatest meditation ever.
