Sigh. Got a rejection email today from one of the places I had a phone interview with. Darn. Here's hoping I don't get a rejection from the other place I had a phone interview.
 
Sorry to hear yucatan, but at least you're trying, unlike me (currently, lately, whatever). You're a hard worker, your persistent efforts will pay off! Me, I'm not one for peristent effort and failure, I prefer dramatic solutions to instantly solve everything, or blithely believing that everything will turn out okay, or fatalism.

Not having access to a microgram scale sucks now that my AM-2201 arrived. I could use liquid measurement and then evaporate the solvent, that'll take a while though. Alternatively I could infuse it into some tea leaves or damiana or something since that way I can weigh out a larger mg amount.

But yes, as my post suggests, my drugs arrived today :D

The customs seem to be asleep right now. All of my orders have come through customs. Probably because it is Christmas time and they have such a huge amount of post to handle. Good time for shopping!

Milligram scales are insanely expensive, or are there any reliable microgram scales that don't cost at least 500-600 € ? One of my milligram scales is now totally screwed up, it shows different digits every time you put something on it and then weigh it again. Sometimes it also shows the weight is on the minus side...
 
Yeah, hardly anything's more frustrating than unreliable scales, that's especially thought provoking on fast upcoming psychedelics...
Don't know if you've thought about checking out auctions where equipment of bankrupt labs are sold. Sometimes you can find good deals if you're lucky.

Are you adding the chemicals when your tray is on the scale? That tends to happen if you do that. You should add them to the tray/whatever you're using as a makeshift tray, and *then* put it on the scale :) Also always remember to calibrate first (but that's a given) :D
 
I think I spontaneously became immune to drugs. The other day I took over 50mg of aMT and barely tripped. I've been doing sizable amounts of MXE with little effect. I just drank four glasses of wine and I don't feel anything, and I'm a lightweight when it comes to booze. WTF. Is this God's way of telling me I should be studying for finals instead of getting high?

No, I never add chemicals when the trey is on the scale. I always put the chemicals in the tray first and then multiple times weigh the tray on the scale. Calibration is a given. But one of my milligram scales is really, really screwed up.

I would like to find a microgram scale but they are so expensive. Another alternative would be a more expensive, high quality milligram scale. I just always want to have two milligram scales so I can compare the weight (in the case that one of the scales would be faulty) and that the weight matches on both scales (usually they differ by 1-2 mg, but that is acceptable as long as we are not speaking of sub-milligram compounds).

Use google translate into German (unless you know it), and search for terms like: "mikrowaage", "0,0001 waage", "laborwaage" etc.

The biggest problem about living in Europe when wanting to get a <1mg scale is that not all sellers will ship outside of their country because the instrument is so fragile (which is obviously less of a problem in the US).

Also, Cyanoide: from what I've gleaned from various forums, you really, really need genuine lab conditions and lab training to use a true microgram scale because everything matters: miniscule fluctuations in air pressure, temperature etc. I think a 0.1-0.01mg scale ought to suffice.
