PC PC Gamers - Whatcha playin?

Ehhh $350 for a 4K display sounds sus, a shitty 4K still costs more than an excellent 1440. For 4K the best ones generally are the ROG ones (also technically Asus), and if you're going with a 9070 then you don't need G-Sync just FreeSync support.

I would say if you can tank the cost for a 4K at the price point of the ROG options then go for it, otherwise go 1440. I use a *lot* of displays in my day-to-day and every single one of the 4K displays that are <$1k are shit. That's why I still happily use a 1440 at home.
Yeah Asus has 1440 p i think 360 hz refresh rate monitor. It is very expensive. Theres BenQ 1440p monitor as well that is pretty good. I don't even bother trying 4k. I don't think my hardware could handle it currently. I'm actually cool with 1080p. But I'm going to try switch to 1440 when I stop draining all my bank accounts on dumb crap.

yeah BenQ is pretty good too, they don't have as many bells n whistles but the core features are solid.

it's not that big a gap from 1080 to 1440 so GPUs marketed as 1080 cards can mostly handle it, at worse you can keep the render resolution at 1080 and upscale to 1440

I played DayZ for a few months back in oh gosh I dunno 2015 maybe. I'm guessing it's changed a bit since then.
Only been playing it for 6 months, but I used to watch gameplay videos of DayZ back then, from what I saw then it's not really the same now, but sometimes, on some servers, it is a little like "the old days"

I kind of thought that was the case with the cheaper 4k displays; it was an asus tuf . Last night I ended up just getting a decent 1440 180 hz asus rog for $255.

They still making new rx 7800 xt's so might even buy one of those and oc it. Atleast it has 16gb memory, the rx 9070 is only 20% faster for 200€ more :/ Dont really give that much thought to fsr 4 and other shit, Im a "raster retard" ;) :ilovemypills:

Ohh, and just clocked 900 hours in Resident evil 4 remake. Gonna download the berserker mod again in 28 days. I seem to have many new pc games to buy in Steam.

Still Minecraft.

Started again and again in new world after a small setback. Uncomfortably like my real life.

counter strike

Still jumping into CS:GO every now and then — mainly for the skins and chill matches. Been browsing csgo betting sites https://csgobettings.gg/ recently too — it’s a pretty solid site if you're into skin gambling or just want to see which betting platforms are actually legit these days. They list a bunch of sites and review them so you don’t end up on sketchy ones.

Anyone else here still trading or betting CS skins? Or has everyone moved on to CS2 and left the market behind?

Lately I’ve been back into CS2 and trying out some skin trading while I play. I used to be super into Counter-Strike: Source back in the day too, and jumped right into CS:GO and now CS2, it’s wild how far it’s come.
