I have downloaded "Ancestor:Humankind Odyssey" and is 9.5/10 optimized, I think here and there of what I yet don't know could be updated to a more atomic version, I appreciate that the game limits 4k textures and yet looks beautiful, proof that 1000k textures aren't always mandatory to make a graphic engine look ok and seems mediocre it is, but we have less of this today and less, and even less in films/games, the textures seems around 1080p with a max of 1440p in some cutscenes, menu is 720p which is reason why the game is so smooth.
menus play a big part of game for who doesn't know, the main menu and because of that when you pause you activate it, and if is all 4k everywhere and 0 optimization you know what happens next.. you and your x euro RIG complain that wow why is this a thing, and you become a little technician when you could just simply be aware. So far, I am so into it, is pirated, not a direct buy because is only available on steam/gog and i don't want to support these platforms since 2014.
maybe we should bring back dvd's? or even usb games if i'd be a thing? should be.. i mean in the near future when games will be launched with 256-400gb or even 2tb of content should just come as a preinstalled ssd thing.. and from there pickup rest of launcher from Y platform?
uh.. i am still learning how the game is, read some thing on "Yack" steam community forums.. but seems that those people have some sense of what's going on. This game tries to be realistic and it doesn't give you a slap when you do some wrong, it just lets you. Apparently even behavior is a progress system and yes I think here is maybe what developers could improve in near future updates if they ever come again(i have the v1.4 version) latest? monkey language isn't 100% accurate when looking.. say I was at my 2nd playthrough because first i gave up, i tried to play as a baby-adult and you cannot do this, but you can pick-up food and no monkey will eat it.. yeah and while playing 2nd time i went to a memorized location, forgot the name, is where you spawn basically as a kid.. and a monkey was simply doing hand stuff?.. tried to feed it 2 separate type of food and the game refused to do any action back. So yeah that's why 9.5. Game should have some guides available and is no fun playing around like this, I do like creativity am first to I'd say but this is by far creativity and maybe a surprise/fetch system that doesn't has is place from beginning when it was linked to these dynamics. Fauna around game tries to be real, and is a 70% realistically game so far by what i've seen on youtube/myself/online.
