I am sorry to say that I don't believe the person who said he isn't addicted to opiates and that withdrawal isn't so bad. I am prescribed oc40s twice a day and oc20s once a day. Sometimes I take more than I should. Thank God my husband is prescribed suboxone, which takes away withdrawals. Anyway, before the suboxone, I would go through bad withdrawals, where I couldn't sleep, had ringing in my ears, couldn't get out of bed. I couldn't even watch television because I couldn't concentrate. The person who says he isn't addicted just needs some time -- before he knows it, he will be taking them every day.

isn't 120mg quite a bit? considering you're not addicted how did your tolerance get this high? i take about 15mg....

and you took 120mg of oxy?.... if that was IR you would have been extremely messed up unless time to time is at minimum every 3 days, probably more. And different people find different substances addicting. I to have no trouble limiting my opiate use but I would not assume that it means others don't find them extremely addicting.

I could easily say "Why are people addicted to crack cocaine? I've smoked it a few times and felt no euphoria. Everyone that is addicted to it is just lame - there are better drugs out there" but I know that my body chemistry does not represent the body chemistry of everyone else in the world.
I don't understand how someone could find alcohol addictive simply because I don't like it that much, or coke or meth. But other people love them.
I've done every drug most people have heard of and I found opiates to be, for me, by far the most euphoric and enjoyable.
My friend who has tried every drug I have thinks that cocaine is by far the most euphoric drug, and doesn't enjoy opiates at all.
Why do people think their narrow perception is the same as everybody else's?

I think it's just that sometimes someone might find it hard to believe people actually get addicted to such a drug. I think it's due to some people's limited personal experience with drug addiction.
