MyDrugbuddy, hard cases make bad law, cases like this are aberrations ( I hate using outliers), even the most rabid Red Tops seem to be keeping their powder dry on this one, its hard not to think about the poor helpless little tiny mites, and evil is its own reward.
I wonder about the mothers in this case, if they hadn't being involved with Watkins, would they have been common garden bad mums and no more, I was reminded of the Susan Smith case http://crime.about.com/od/murder/a/susan_smith_3.htm.
The Barrister for the State also stated IIRR that drugs namely Meth Amp and crack played a large part in the offences and it is easy to imagine decreased inhibitions coupled with increased arousal playing a part in the matter, so maybe if we are truly a HR community here might address this , though for my part I suspect that this what part of the deal done to get in the guilty plea nice and handy, it ought not affect sentencing.
What is the tariff in the UK for this, since he swerved the rape charge which I assume could carry life, what is the max sentence available to the beak?
