I've been following this thread and the chicago heroin one for awhile now and posted once or twice. So I worked up the nerve to go and try and cold cop tonight....and....It didn't go so well. Again such as in the recent past no one was yelling 'rocks and blows' on every other corner as I remember when i'd drive through the city as a teen to cop weed of all things. tried to make eye contact and nothing.....asked and they 'dont no nothing about that' (i covered much of the west side) and then I get pulled over for blowing a stop sign I didnt see and had my car searched..what a crappy night. Just wish I had a little H to smoke (yeah I know you all think its a waste but if you get the technique down its quite a rush - and I can't snort it; I have bad allergies as it is and with that I can't breath out of my nose at all and lastly don't like needles- so not alot of options). Maybe its just really hot right now; I've read about a couple big busts that happened recently. It's going to take awhile for me to go back and try again after that experience. I'm thinking next time I'll take public transportation? I really stick out being the only white guy in a late model benz. what do you guys think about going solo on public transportation out west? I think I remember a poster saying that wasn't so safe.

iam not from the chi but i dont think the model/make or your car should really matter. you just hafta pound the pavement till you find yourself a decent spot. imo id stick to travelin in my own car, use public transport only as a last resort like if you car is broken down and you need to go cop. perhaps you just wasnt hitting the right spots up. iam sure if you invest enough time into it you will find ya a d-spot

Uh yeah, this is not 1980 and I don't think it's available. I'm in the 2nd largest city, learning the language, and it's true that I've been insulated in the week I've been here (my only guide to the city has been a nice churchgoing boy who is the son of my great aunt's friend), but I think PheMekh is spot on.

Anyway it might be a good thing to get away from Chi and H (they are pretty much one and the same) for a few months. I will be returning to the states for 2 months in time for Thanksgiving so I may resume intermittent use then, but it's nice to not have to worry about one more thing, even if I'm completely lost in translation here.
 
You know, I was just sitting here thinking about a few earlier posts i read about how the ingredient in benadryl ( i know it but can't think of it at the moment) can or may or will enhance the dope. Someone had said something to the effect that it would help the nod along simply because of what it is i guess. Anyway, i was thinking I much prefer xanex to "enhance" my dope as I very rarely or never catch nods off just dope anymore, but when taken with 2-4 mg of xanex, now we're talkin!!! If I'm high on xanex I won't nod, and if I'm high on dope I won't nod, but if I take xanex & wait just a few minutes for them to kick in & shoot some dope, then my head will be on the floor even if I'm standing up! Which by the way I have a wonderful talent for!!! The stand up nod, my right arm goes out like a dam kick stand & my head is dam near on the floor!

Anyway, if I can't get high right now, I can at least dream about it! Tomorrow would have been my dad's 79th birthday, the first one without him since he passed in october, so I am going to get oblterated!!! See "team nod" tomorrow & for a pleasant change, I'll be on board!

Just my own personal opinion. No offense to those that prefer benadryl, I used to use them myself but just to help me sleep. Since I stopped the every day use of dope I have had the worst case of insomnia ever!

yes, but benzos aren't always prescribed for daily use. Generally they're as-needed, and many docs won't even give you 30 pills. For more severe cases, or if its a sloppy (or generous) doctor you might get a ton of benzos, and then, you'd be right, that's dangerous territory.

Be careful with the xanax and dope combination. That "potentiation" is more like super synergy between the two, and it makes it way easier to go unconscious, do stupid stuff, and stop breathing in high doses. But at 2-4 mg xanax, yeah, you should be safe and it will enhance the dope nicely.

Benadryl (diphenhydramine) works a little differently in how it potentiates dope. It is sedating, so you do get that extra little nod factor, but additionally, is inhibits the liver enzymes that normally break down heroin and other opiates to be excreted (its either Cytochrome P450 2d6 or 3a4, I forget which subtype), so basically the opiate stays in your system for longer and is not broken down as much by first pass metabolism if you take the opiate orally. The catch is that for best results you have to take the benadryl about an hour before the opiate.
 
Anyone visit "Operation Clean Sweep" in Chicago today? Looked like a huge party on the West Side with many of the main dope streets closed down for block parties. Any relation to the "Operation Clean Sweeps" of the 80's/90's that occured in Chicago? Or was this something else---related to the PLASTIC industry---?

I saw a little kid cruising around in a mini-POLICE cruiser on a well known dope street/block that must have cost an arm and a leg(given out by the Narcos?). I'm a little wary about making a trip into the city tommorow...oh well....good night to all...

Hope I'm just being paranoid...

After the block party debacle that was Saturday in Chicago, found a new spot/hook in ten minutes today. Of course it was "DUBS", as it always seems to be the first time around. Any advice on how to get him to give the real price next time? I don't want to lose him, as the product was excellent, but I know these 'aint dubs...probably screwed since I played along being desperate and all...oh well...the corner boys were out, in force and with numbers today, but it was a corner girl who roped me in...pretty hot as well...

No question about it...I thought she was looking for a "date" at first, but I'm glad I was wrong. Just seemed to a be a nice person all around, and I love the blonde hair extensions on the women of Chicago's west-side...don't know why, but I do...

Of course, the person she hooked me up with wasn't a fine female, but he and his crew hooked me up, and that is all any of us can hope for...

Just got a real mixed bag of dope...literally. My dude handed us several individually wrapped balls, half of which were extremely great powder, only took about .1 to catch a nod, and the other half were some mediocre tar that looked skimpy, and .2 didn't even faze me. I wish the product were of more consistent quality, but at maybe I shouldn't complain; after all, at least they HAVE it on a consistent basis.
 
Yeah that's ther same boat I'm in..my people usually have good shit but everynow and then it lacks..but just in the year and a half I've been using I've never had to call someone else cause they always pick up the phone

In my opinion consistancy is key

Its like a good weed dealer they might not always have the best but you know they will always pick up the phone and they will always hook it up

yeah exactly, i only deal with a couple people depending on which part of town i'm in; since they don't do dope themselves, they always have it on deck, they're always able to meet since they wake up early, and they always answer the phone.

No doubt, my new guy even calls me, although I'm sure that will stop once he knows that I'm a reliable customer...will he be a reliable dealer? Time will tell...they are people too, people who deal with severe stress at times to make a buck/help us out...so if a dealer tells me to wait for him to call me back, I'll usually be cool about it and wait for him to call instead of calling the man every 15 minutes(although I'm sure most of us fiends have all been there at some point in time!)...

All I can realistically ask for is quality product and decent "customer service"...ie not avoiding phone calls(meaning he will pick up and tell me that his crew is waiting for a new batch and it may take a while...that I can deal with/accept...when my main man is avoiding/not taking calls for whatever reason, I always think they have been busted)....

I usually tip early on in the "relationship" maybe an extra ten spot here and there, or a gift card...and ime, that can pay off when you happen to be broke w/o dope...ugggghhh....just thinking about the broke w/o dope situation takes my thoughts to bad places.

He goes yeah you and like 2 other people come buy enough that I trust you, I know you would pay me back, I won't do that for just anybody

Now my people are black dudes from the westside and I'm a white boy from the suburbs and for him to trust me is pretty cool..

The perks of being a reliable to your dealers not to mention free bags every now and then

Yes, the free bag thing and the occasional front is great. Needless, I have never actually tipped a dealer before but as long as they don't expect extra money every time, I think this could be quite a useful thing to do. I've been building a rapport with one of my dudes lately by speaking in spanish to him, since his english isn't the greatest, and we even shot a game of pool together last week after I shot some product. Also calling early in order to let him know what I'll be needing helps also, he'll even hang on to what I'm going to get if he's about to run out, and wait for me to get there before he goes to re up. But I think the dynamic of the dope trade here is a little different than where you guys live...I can't imagine playing pool with d-boys in NJ or chicago, for example, lol

Yep, exactly what I was getting at earlier...both parties have to earn each other's respect and once that happens there are certain perks that the frequent/known/friendly/etc buyer will get...this happens in the business world all of the time...albeit with slightly different products...ha

From January to around mid-May, I built up a solid relationship with a west-side connect. He is now in prison for a few months, but the man would front grams of raw, or jabs...because the first time he went out on a limb and loaned/fronted me, I paid him back asap...and again the second time. Once the dealer sees this, you are golden(untill one of you fucks the other over, which, unfortunately, happens a bit too often in this game). Of course, not every dealer/crew will do this, even if you are their best customer, and I can see why one would want to avoid that situation(debt to a drug dealer)...so in the interest of harm reduction, don't ask if he can front you a few bundles, as that friendly relationship can turn ugly at the drop of dime...this is a business for them after all, and they aren't afraid of breaking any law on the books. Sorry for the tangent folks, enjoy your evening nod...
