Was given suboxone by my "shrink" in case of severe cravings for opiates, lol...anyway, after 70 days or so of opiate free living, I let an 8mg suboxone dissolve under my tounge. Mos def a high, and a long lasting one(6 hours or so, empty stomach). Tried the same ten days later, only the slight craving for opiates was diminished, no high. Perfect for WD's, and opiate addiction/recovery, but the abuse potential is limited, imo...but certainly there for some of us...as it does fill the receptors
 
Biggest side effect of heroin ... Money withdrawals. Why cant they just let us go to the doctor and get it prescribed!?

If stuff was regulated... I would have money, I wouldn't have to worry what the hell I'm actually buying, Stress would go away. I wouldn't have to rely on shady ass criminals,

I need this for depression and anxiety, and I know there are many out there like me.

I have found something that helps me be happy, I am not hurting anybody, yet it is banned by the government. This is against what our country was founded on. How long until justice is returned in regards to heroin?

I get where you're coming from, but you have to accept that heroin will never be legal in our lifetimes. Constitutional arguments aside, h is not the best treatment for depression or anxiety. Initially when I did opiates, it was to get around those feelings, and when I was high, I was able to interact with people and be positive. But only while high. That's the key part. You can't take a sub-buzz dose of opiates and really expect much relief from depression or anxiety, and if you quit using opiates, your depression and anxiety will be right there waiting for you.

So just because you are enthusiastic about going to work or talking to strangers after a shot of dope doesn't mean you're engaging in serious therapy. It just means you're high as fuck =D

Effective medications for depression and anxiety should not make you feel high, or really feel anything noticeable aside from the absense of depressive or anxious symptoms. And with the proper dosing regimen and talk therapy, most people can go off the medications altogether and the symptoms will be minimal or nonexistent. Up til the 1950s, opiates were sometimes prescribed for depression and anxiety. The reason that his practice was dicontinued was not because of any moral issue or government pressure; it was simply because there were much better medications out there for psychiatric conditions.

Really? That hasn't been my experience at all... Even when I've just done enough to be un-sick, it still makes me feel like a normal person and not a prisoner of my own mind.

Just my two cents.
 
for the most part i finally , well i cant say quit, but i have slowed down a lot with dope. just not an every day gotta have it kinda thing anymore. but after being fucked with by the cops tonight, i'm reading both sides about legalizing the shit. i have to say my husband & i have had the same discussion. he's 100% sober & always has been, so of course he gives me the shit about it would be anarchy. i mean it shouldn't be as available as cigarettes or advil, but i do think they should legalize it for addicts specificly. just so we can maybe get something in us to be able to work in the mornings. england has, by perscription! i watched a documentary on it some years ago.

Good luck!!! I've been so good myself latley after a 19 year run! only got high 5x in the last 5 weeks.

I know I said it already but fuck Its hard to not just start snortin up this dope I bought..fuck this whole 36-48hour waiting game after takin a sub
 
Its been about 27 hours and I dunno somewhere between 4-6mg it was all broken so I don't really know

Man you should be good. My friend was on 8mg a day prescribed and he would get high after 10-12 hours just fine, maybe a slight increase in tolerance temporary, but nothing major. You can still get high no problem. 27 hours? Man you are good.

I'm from Chi but I'm living in Korea for the next ten months, partially because my parents didn't want me going to college this year (U of C, in the hood lol) unless I had more clean time. Anyway, I left the States on the 13th, so the night before that was the last time I used.

Usually when I was using regularly I would cop from the West Side or (in the beginning) from the North Side right by the Evanston border. However, for this last time, I got .4 of raw chunky H from Skokie through a friend. After 5 months of snorting I switched to the needle, but on the 12th I was doing the dope with my boyfriend, who hates the idea of me shooting it. This H was CRAZY. Even snorting less than .1 got me nodding hard. Part of this may have been because I had taken about 5mg of clonazepam a few hours earlier, but I have a high benzo tolerance. The two of us couldn't even get through all of it that night. After toking some mad kush I pretty much passed out for a while, only to awake at sunrise to snort another tiny bump and then catch my flight to Beijing.

So, anyone from Chi have experience with dope from Skokie? I'd heard that there's a lot there but until last Thursday I'd never had the opportunity to try any. I actually live just north of the city, adjacent to Skokie, so a solid phone connect there would be convenient - albeit inaccessible via El. Then again, I do so enjoy the journey out to the Wild West; it gets me high as surely as the actual product.

Anyway, you guys are making me fiend like crazy for some good ol' West Side diesel... and I'm halfway around the goddamn world, in a country that suppresses drug use effectively. God damn it. At least I wasn't hooked this time, withdrawal on a 14 hour flight would have been TERRIBLE.

Hope you are in south korea..lol..man go to the pharmacies there!My dad was in the Army and stationed in South Korea during !980-1981 when i was young kid and he said in South Korea in the pharmacies theey sold anything basicly if you had some cash ,and not a lot either...He said people in S.Korea would often be pissing out in the streets and shooting up in public view,but if you cannot find heroin or at least some opaites at a pharmacy then South Korea has done a U-Turn since the early 80;s which has been a long time,but he said you could get cocaine,methamphetamine,opiate sof all kinds in the Drug stores/pharmacies there easily and cheaply...You are either living in a rich area or in the capital of South Korea in an area where the cops actually arrest people for drugs...bummer,if you learn the language or now someone one speaks both english and korean then have them take you to an area where you can score drugs,they will be cheap as fuck and pharmacuticals are also, maybe you need to visit a small city or town with a native who can tanslate for you..My dad said he saw more dope,coke and speed and pills in South korea in the early 80's than he ever saw in the 60's in the bay area!!! You just gotta find the right places to go and someone to take you ...man it's fucking SEA #4 heroin out the ass in South Korea man,,get your ass a friend and head outta your area and see ,,,it is a paradise if you find the dope there,,cheap pure,#4 SEA white powder heroin !! At least go to the paharmacies around the city..but first find someone to translate!!! Then it is on like donkey kong....for real,it will not come to you,you gotta go to it,but it will be worth it...

i wasn't speaking for people who are addicted. if you're dopesick and take a sub-high dose, yeah, you'll experience relief because you're no longer withdrawing. but I don't think that most people (unaddicted) with anxiety/depression would see their symptoms abate if they took 2.5 mg percocet or something.

Honestly brother, I think u have no idea what ur talking about...simply check out UN seizures of heroin in S. Korea in the past 7 years or so from UNODC and u will see...there aint much heroin goin on around there bro!

yeah i know plenty of people who have been to S. Korea in the last few years and they said the drug scene is more or less nonexistent. I think you may be able to find tramadol at pharmacies. But South Korea, being a peninsula with the only land border being closed is effectively an island, making it about as difficult to smuggle drugs in as, say, japan, another country with a tiny drug scene. Maybe at some point in the past H was easy to find, but I very much doubt that is true today.

Davis, you need to stop making these tl;dr posts with misleading info, if you are going to make claims like this please back them up with references that we can check, because I'm beginning to discount a lot of what you say, and I don't want to do that, because I can tell you're an articulate guy, you just come off as a troll sometimes.

I've been following this thread and the chicago heroin one for awhile now and posted once or twice. So I worked up the nerve to go and try and cold cop tonight....and....It didn't go so well. Again such as in the recent past no one was yelling 'rocks and blows' on every other corner as I remember when i'd drive through the city as a teen to cop weed of all things. tried to make eye contact and nothing.....asked and they 'dont no nothing about that' (i covered much of the west side) and then I get pulled over for blowing a stop sign I didnt see and had my car searched..what a crappy night. Well actually not so crappy; I still have some fent patches and oxys and I'm feeling quite good right now. Just wish I had a little H to smoke (yeah I know you all think its a waste but if you get the technique down its quite a rush - and I can't snort it; I have bad allergies as it is and with that I can't breath out of my nose at all and lastly don't like needles- so not alot of options). Maybe its just really hot right now; I've read about a couple big busts that happened recently. It's going to take awhile for me to go back and try again after that experience. I'm thinking next time I'll take public transportation? I really stick out being the only white guy in a late model benz. what do you guys think about going solo on public transportation out west? I think I remember a poster saying that wasn't so safe.

after experimenting with dr prescribed benzos (i can take up to 4mg a day of klonopin) and zoloft, nothing has worked as well as opiates for my anxiety and at a dose lower then that which I would say I was high. And your going to get withdraws and that feeling of relief with any of the medications used for anxiety.
