Nicest compliment you've received lately

I was working with a guy for a few weeks, and didnt really have any probs with him .. but everyone else did. Some of the girls bitched to me about him, and told me not to talk about him infront of 'whoever' because they were likely to dob me in. In all fairness this guy tried his best in place full of extremely bitchy girls. I was in semi 'power' position at the time and did respect him and gave him the time of day, and courtesy he deserved.

He left about a month ago, but rang up to tell my boss that i was one of the most intelligent, hardworking, easy to get along with people he had ever worked with. That really made my day.
 
Back on the quitting work thing: I went in to hand in my resignation and they said, look, the London office are totally separate to us, what you do when you get there is your own business, but: instead of quitting here, how 'bout you take a two year leave of absence? We know you're coming back to Australia eventually, and when you do...

So I can go, travel, stay away for a couple of years, and have my old job back when I return. This is nice. They do love me!
 
My friend and I were having a sing along. I was playing the guitar and was trying to encourage her to sing. After she forgot words i just sang along and she told me I have a good voice. Ahhh, all those years of playing folk music

My best friend told me the other day that she loved me and that I was too good to her all the time...I did say i loved her first, but it was nice to have it reciprocated.... :)
 
i got told i was good at being a cunt, also really good at making people feel like committing suicide. but the best was 'wow you're big, can i suck your cock'. pity it was a guy.
 
my friend told me that whenever my name comes up and her father is about, he says "i like erin, and she sure can drink ALOT".

i'm not entirely sure if it's a compliment or not, but i liked it :D

we had a hypothetical question game at a dinner party recently, one question was "pick one person in this room who you would choose to have with you on the dersert island" - I was the only one to get chosen twice. I think that's a compliment in itself.

my friend just otld me over MSN; "you have a funny fascination with murder.....not funny ha ha either".

considering my interests, i'll take that as a compliment ;)

I got an sms from someone standing right next to me at the time saying 'just a little note to let you know i think you look really beautiful right now'. It was sweet but very unexpected.

And someone else said to me ' ... i knew i should have talked to you, because you always know exactly what to say to make me feel better'

Compliments are hard to give because people take them wrong sometimes, especially coming from me.
