I think people sometimes tend to forget that common sense is thrown steadfast down the proverbial toilet when it comes to living in the throes of an addiction :|
 
^ Yeah what she said I didn't see Mr Ibis comment so I don't know what it was but what belarki said is right, an addiction is an addiction, of course some things are worse to be addicted to then others. Personally I have stopped myself from going out and finding stronger opioids to abuse but fuck if I can't get codeine anymore, can't get pods, what's the fucking point?

Also I worded that other post kinda badly and I see why p_d pointed it out... when I said I got up to 1.8 grams I thought I was making it obvious that was building up a tolerance to that point, but p_d is right I don't want anyone reading that and thinking that's a good dose to take to get high without a tolerance 'cause hell it's not. If I even stop using for a couple of days then start again the histamine reaction comes right back to me and I swell up all red, severely itchy and harder to breathe then usual. Just because codeine is OTC doesn't mean that it's safe and whatever so peace everyone.
 
The weirdest thing happened yesterday, most chemists have been out of larger packs for atleast a few weeks and yesterday was May 1st, the day the aws were supposed to come into effect.

I have a friend that I regularly use codeine with (you know who you are :p) and anyway, like more than a month ago she got given heaps of shit from this pharmacy I went into last night for trying to buy a large pack of codeine. Oddly, the same place that gave her abuse for trying to purchase a large pack when it was still legal sold me a large pack with no questions even though it was technically illegal.

They only had one 100 pack left on the shelf and I doubt they will have more after thats gone but I just found it strange my friend copped shit but I got a 100 pack when I wasn't even supposed to.
 
They probably just wanted to offload it instead of wasting it and losing profit. In the end, it all comes down to the $$
 
What is going on with Australia. Big changes in meds containing codeine, the prices of ciggies now absolutely even more fucked. The ciggies piss me off more than anything. Its all just more revenue raising.
 
To paraphrase from Trainspotting, the streets are awashed in drugs. I don't know why anyone is getting upset about the recent change.

Those who are deeply addicted to opiates will have nothing change. They're still using smack and what have you. Codeine as noted is just a crutch to get em through the shakes.

Those who use codeine will simply find they have to go to more pharmacys and spend a bit more money on what has to be the cheapest opiate on the market. Seriously how much are we paying for a gram of codeine compared to that on the street for say smack?

hell you can still buy what has to be the largest non-prescription dose of codine, nearly 400mg in a 200ml bottle of Rikodeine. Yes i know some you get the shits with it but if your popping so much codeine, so regularly, and in such high doses then you my friend probably need the sorbital to help get anything through your ass.
 
I went in on ssaturday and bought neurofen +. They took my driver license details and printed off a sticker with my name and details and put it on a box. They scanned my details through a computer too. I'm not sure if this network is state wide, so not sure if you visit different pharmacies it will show up.

dihydrocodeine is in the rikodeine bottles, not codeine - along with all that sorbitol. also i think it's pretty obvious as to why a gram of heroin is more expensive than codeine.

Wow so they record every detail which can show up in all pharmacies?
This is becoming a joke. Guess ill just have to turn to sumfn else like these for good :S

no, he said he's not sure. i don't think every individual pharmacy is hooked up to the one database which can be monitored - i may be wrong and there's probably a site you could find that info out from. some chain pharmacies in cities do have this kind of setup though.
 
I read in the paper that the pharmacies do not share records, however as someone else noted in this thread, page before this I think, some pharmacies owned by the same person may share records.

Rikodeine, eh...
 
Yeh, pharmacies owned by the same person commonly share records. I haven't heard of any that weren't owned by the same person sharing records.

In my small town there is 4? pharmacies. 2 (owned by the same person) record codeine now. The other 2 (owned by seperate people) don't record.

Well at least I'm not crazy lol.
I've kind of gone off it now though after I started getting tinnitus randomly for a day after taking it lol Maybe that deafness thing is true. Don't wanna risk it anyhow.

Most codeine pills contain starch and when kept in the mouth for a long time an enzyme in the saliva called amylase begins to break down the starches into their constituent parts, and those parts are simply sugar. Thats why u have that sweetish after taste in your mouth. It can happen with a lot of other things as well.

Yes it's bitter as shit. But after that, it's incredibly sweet. Nice to have a reason why this happens, thanks mate. Also maybe it just seems really really sweet coz it was so bitter, and then those sugars seem sweeter than they are.

And how do I get it down? I don't anymore lol I can't handle it. It just got worse every time.

No worries. Keep ur extract at 120ml max. Add same amount or just slightly more cordial. I like raspberry and apple but tropical aint bad either:) It masks it very well.
