that was actually the point of joining and post on this part of the forum, i hadnt thought about any risks, of COURSE i'll admit it was stupid, but this media business put that into perspective. i AM trying to find out as much as i can without putting anything dangerous into my body, and i had assumed that might be some of the point of this forum. i am not an adult, i made a mistake and am trying to (prepare?) myself for next time. before i viewed this site i hade no idea even what a reagents kit was...
i cant understand things on wikepedia about chemical structures and stuff i was just hoping for a down to earth straight answer about what i was putting into my body. this IS me making an effort to answer the questions i ask.

oh and, reading my original post.. the suss question about whats being sold as caps was to lessen my stupidity again, as i have been taking caps as a faster, stronger alternative to pills for a while but when i mentioned them to a friend he said there was something 'wrong' with the structure of caps tthat they would not 'attach' into a pill like a normal ekky. i was just trying to find things out, i'll try elsewhere next time shall i, guys? thanks a lot.

thanks, i realised that after reading around a bit, there's just some assholes on this forum, a few other topics are beginning to make it make sense now

She should be congratulated for joining and wishing to learn and YOU should sit back and listen. This is shitting me, as members are not welcoming people, and OK you, entheofarm , as a greenlighter, have not been around long enough to apprecieate this. I for one, am interested to hear of the products that are referred to in the news reports, so as to ascertaine the reliabilty of the news reports, from a user level. so sit back and listen , and stop trying to be the big man that knows it all.

Are you 100% sure of the contents of every drug you've ever consumed? Can the same be said of everyone on BL? I sure as hell didn't know what was in the first pill I ever took, let alone what MDMA even was. If people did, we might as well just shut the site down and walk away.

I took the time to reply to her original post. My post was helpfull i believe, as she was looking for harm reduction advice and i gave her what i had.
then she posts 6 (edit: 7, there's another one above) different messages of whinge whinge whinge just because two people made comments because they thought her post seemed suspicious. 8)
can mods just delete all this whinging from both sides and get this topic back on track?

There's been similar sounding caps floating around brisbane for some time being sold as mdma, big clear ones filled with beige stuff, not the same as the decent ones floating around different circles with only a point of material in them.
Keep your eyes out kiddies, they're not just in Cairns.

oh and if you do decide to reply to this dead thread keep in mind that what princess was pointing out is the very reason this user account was started and people had used it to post silly comments as we have seen, I have apologised to princess and rectified the issue as best I can and will prevent stupid comments being made in the future.

while I agree with your sentiment, your statement is unfactual and nonsensical.

neither khat not ephedra are scheduled 'across australia', ie neither federally nor in any way shape or form of unified state scheduling.
Cathinone has been scheduled for many years and has been a scheduled analogs for decades, however the plant itself was until recently legal in ALL states. SA specifically scheduled it a couple of years ago or so, ACT also included it I believe when they copied some ethnobotany textbook index [incl spelling mistakes], and Qld scheduled it by default when they changed one of the definitions of their drug act beginning of this year [along with every other plant that contains a scheduled substance], and I think they also scheduled it outright in march.

That still leaves Catha edulis plants legal in most states and other than SA and Qld there appears to be no specific targeting of this species.

Similarly with ephedra. The plant is legal to grow in most states, however possession of the harvested herb is not. I think Qld is the only state where the ephedra plant is illegal. I do agree though that there is a strong effort to fully restrict sales and possession of this plant in most states, so people need to be mindful that laws can change quickly.

Also, I fail to see the connection between catha and mephedrone? It is not really possible to 4-methylate cathinone without destroying it. There are plenty of other starting materials for this compound.
