Mephedrone ups the levels of serotonin as well as dopamine, so the one to watch out for is pulmonary hypertension, which caqn occur quite a bit afterwards; it's the reason the slimming drug fenfluramine was withdrawn and why methamphetamine fucks your heart. If you want more info, google 5HT2b receptors and it'll give you a full rundown

If you haven't already, you should read "Speed, Ecstasy, Ritalin - the Science of Amphetamines". It's a very enjoyable read, and goes into some detail about the fenfluramine scandal.

It's great, actually page turning which for a non-fiction book is a rarity for me! You'll know all the pharmacology stuff already, but definitely worth it for the social history of amphetamines and the changing role they have played.
Thanks for the reference, it looks like an interesting read. Les Iversen is head of the ACMD isn't he? Is it written from a neutral view point?

Yes he is... the book is very neutral though. It doesn't go into legalisation debates really, mainly science and history. Even goes so far to say that maybe methamphetamine isn't necessarily neurotoxic as is made out in low doses!

I see that Dimemebfe or 2-(5-methoxy-1-benzofuran-3-yl)ethyl]dimethylamine is being advertised as available. I can't find much on this here or elsewhere. Structurally it looks like it should be an empathogen with possible psychedelic effects, anyone have experience?

So it's basically a furan version of 5-MeO-DMT... sounds more like a psychedelic to me than an empathogen.

I've tried B2 a couple of times and it was pretty much 90% if mephedrone is 100%. Was probably not wise trying it when AFAIK there hasn't been any confirmed reports about what the chemical actually is, just speculation about some prophylhexedrine analogue or a cathinone. I wouldn't recommend it in the name of Harm Reduction, but it was a good experience.
I have to say I also really enjoyed the smoking blend HAZE and could see myself smoking it every now and again as a legal alternative to weed, I don't really want to be smoking weed. A big bonus from it is that the smoke seems to smell just of tobacco so doesn't cause too much suspicion at all, other than a non smoker smoking a rollup and coughing all the time, lol. Would definitely recommend it though for non weed smokers that like the feeling of getting stoned but don't want to do it daily or start smoking weed.

If a non-weed smoker liked the feeling of getting stoned they should become weed smokers, not some fucking untried and tested chem that feels a bit like weeed...weed is one of the safest drugs there is.
