The MDA being sold tests black/purple on marquis, don't think this stuff does

re jolly green granules (nice to know the giant gets a break from the day job) they're ok. they're not like meph but nothing is (especially dimethocaine, i've had more fun snorting paracetemol) and for me at least, they give me a nice kind of clarity, more an altered-state than feeling properly "high". i've only taken them at quite small doses so far to see how it went, though, and i'm quite intrigued to see what it's like doing more of it in one go.

I wonder if customs & excise tests would find "benzo fury" similar enough to MDA to decide it actually is MDA.

Nope, they have to send itr to a forensic centre like the one at Weatherby. The GCMS there will tell them it's not MDA or anything else controlled (at the moment)

Funny that, seeing as none of you really have the foggiest of what it might to do you. You're basing all this hope n excitement on the trip reports from people who IMO are vendors! lol

No I based my opinion on the Nicols research paper which gave Ki values etc and reckoned a couple of years ago that this particular chem would do a good impersonation of MdA. as to the toxicology, that's anybody's guess

But do you have any idea what it is - what's actually in them?

Please tell me you do.

Thanks F&B, your post provides a lot of clarity amongst the fog of posts here and in the threads on 6-APDB.

Sounds like and interesting chem, but as you say, the unknown toxicology is the worry here.

I'm a complete noob about this sort of stuff, so will ask what may be a silly question. Are metabolic routes / toxicity something that can be modelled or established theoretically, or is it a case of (quite literally) suck it and see - i.e. waiting for someone to do tests on guinea pigs (literal and figurative) in a lab.

Or even maybe just wait for a whole lot of enthusiastic BLers to try it out and then count how many mysteriously suddenly stop posting. :\

PS - I wish people would drop the vendor-given name for 6-APDB; probably too late for that though, it seems to have taken hold. I agree, the Daily Mail will have a field day winding its readership up with that particular handle.

Maybe "Sex Ape-y" would be a better name? 8)

no idea what's in it apart from the prolintane rumour (which would suggest it's ok). it didn't *feel* toxic like naphyrone but obviously that's hardly strong science.

jolly green granules - isn't it just caffeine?

^ agreed

the vendor name for this is absolutely terrible, and most certainly dangerous in itself
ummm... please enlighten me? if only so i can help to stamp it out.

ummm... please enlighten me? if only so i can help to stamp it out.

Two reasons really.

(1) The media will adopt it as the new mephedrone (because of the name) and therefore run a multi-million £/$ advertising and awareness campaign on behalf of the RC vendors.

(2) The 80% of users who don't 'use' sensibly will not understand that this isn't a benzo, so when it's banned (or even when it isn't) kids will probably end up getting actual benzos as a replacement, and will likely kill themselves. No media spin with this one. Imagine a 16yo hoovering up a monster line of valium...

Not saying that it will happen routinely, but guaranteed to be very problematic when this gets banned.

^ You'd have to work very hard to OD on a benzo. You'd pretty much have to snort your own body weight - especially considering benzos don't work if snorted. It is a name that can only lead to confusion but in this case the drug being confused for isn't actual (and potentially lethal) fertiliser like with meph but essentially harmless benzos. That doesn't stop it from being a stupid thing to call a drug, of course.

haha not really like, benzos have a tendency to make some people fly off the handle like booze. i know a couple of normally nice people who get dickheadish on benzos

I can think of a couple too....... 8)

As for the Benzo Fury what an absolute joke of a name. Nobody knows what chemical it actually is and you are debating whether it will be better than MDMA/MDA? Haha 8)

We do know what chemical it is - it's closely related to MDA (4-desoxy-MDA, I believe) hence the connection and excitement - it's just that chemical nomenclature is complex and the same chem could have a few names which would all be correct but sound totally different. The argument is over which one is "best" - it's all the same chemical being discussed.

Agreed on the MDA but if this stuff is any good it's a lot cheaper, legal, purer (in theory :\) and comes with next day delivery. That would make it a rather attractive proposition you must admit. Definitely one of the more interesting of the new batch of RCs but the sheer quantity of hype is starting to put me off a bit. Same as the 5-IAI - lotta hype, little actual evidence beyond shilling so far :\

Exactly. And looking at what the RC market has brought about so far, I don't see many posatives tbh. Just filthy fiending and evil as fuck side effects from most of them. IMO.
