I lost track of 'em aaaaages ago. There's the Synthetic Cannabinoids Thread but hasn't been updated recently. None I've tried have the full range of cannabis effects but several are pretty damn good in their own right. They all get you stoned but there is usually something missing from the experience compared with actual cannabis. I quite like that one with the ridiculously stooopid name (5f-summat-AKB?) at the moment. Pretty damn close to the effects of natural cannabis but extremely short-lived. Is insanely potent (1mg is plenty with no tolerance) and at £15/g it's damn fine value for money. Some of the JWHs were nice too but only available from overseas vendors these days. I don't use 'em much but plenty here do who will be of more help.

Sounds interesting especially the price.

I'd heard they were pretty carcinogenic?
 
I believe there are some health concerns about some of 'em but nothing confirmed. One thing that does seem very iffy about 'em is the tarriness. Most I've tried smoking in a pipe leave a residue that sets like superglue - have ruined more than one pipe smoking synthetics. I really don't think that can be good for the lungs. But then smoking anything isn't so great for the lungs. Moderation is probably wise though. Or not using at all.
 
The EMCDDA are usually pretty good, I wouldn't be even remotely surprised if those are all separate chemicals they've detected, though at least half are usually cannabinoids.
 
Nope, the EMCDDA is just a monitoring organisation, I don't believe it makes political comment. The decision about whether or not to ban is up to individual member states.

For example, I believe 5-APB was in their 2011 report as an NPS but afaik it is still legal worldwide.
 
Yeah why are we discussing the legitimacy of the numbers when the list is published?!

Zopiclone, Phenibut and PCA don't really belong on there IMHO but everything else is pretty genuine.

I strongly question whether 1-cyclohexyl-x-methoxy-benzene is a recreational drug.
 
Ethylproprion

RS)-2-ethylamino-1-phenyl-propan-1-one is a stimulant drug of the phenethylamine, amphetamine, and cathinone clategories It is an active metabolite of the prodrug diethylcathinone and is fully responsible for its effects to date

The pharmacology for ethcathinone/Ethylproprion appeared alongside other psychostimulants in a paper by Rothman and Baumann in 2006. The predominant two modes of action for ethcathinone is as a moderately active releaser of noradrenaline (EC50 = 99.3nM) however it is only a relatively weak inhibitor of dopamine reuptake (Ki = 1,014nM).

any one using the words "relatively weak' in their own promotional blurb doesnt sound very confident.

Stimulants usually work directly on dopamine. I have to admit ive only heard of antidepressants in the context of noradrenaline. Im too stoned now to go to that wiki page and try to understand what old nora does. I think shes some kind of bridge between adrenaline,dopamine and serotonin. This may be a load of crap it could also be a nice stim Im not going first on this 1.
 
well i know its the prodrug of diethylcathinone and i really liked eth-cat when i tried that . well got a shock was going to get a branded chemical called infinity but just like wmf has just shut up shop after being raided unlike wmf they will reopen .
 
nice one thank you . have you heard about the other big uk vendor getting raided don't know if i can name names but i bet you can guess which . this looks a bit bad if the hitting all the main online vendors does this mean we got some kind of major overhaul going on with a crack down on vendors instead of straight banning substances .

maybe in thinking that instead of going after the chemicals which is getting them nowhere going after the vendor is the way for them to go now ?
 
i dont think so, since if the vendor isnt doing anything illegal, theres not much reason to raid them in the first place....
