The pharmacology for ethcathinone/Ethylproprion appeared alongside other psychostimulants in a paper by Rothman and Baumann in 2006. The predominant two modes of action for ethcathinone is as a moderately active releaser of noradrenaline (EC50 = 99.3nM) however it is only a relatively weak inhibitor of dopamine reuptake (Ki = 1,014nM).

Dunno about ethylpropion, but there are (or were) slimming tablets available which contained di-ethylpropion (brand name Tenuate Dospan) with the street names of 'tombstones' or 'chalkies'. These were fuckin brill IMO, very speedy and empathetic. Might be worth checking out if you get the opportunity :)
 
i've heard of tombstones thats what the drugstore cowboys called dextroamphetamine if i remember right back in the 60s 70s . be told that its just another name for eth-cat so no good to me now anyway which is a shame
 
Yes, it's been on the cards for a couple of months. Just a case of paperwork and timing. Sorted now.

It's a temporary control of one year for 'assessment' (lol) - so no sale or import from 10th June. Possession is fine.
 
A quick google tells me that 6-APB seems to be back in stock - anyone know what the current batch is like? The one I tried the other day was from about a year ago.

Think I may have to get a quick order in....

@Knock - happens every time. The recently scheduled cannabinoids were going very cheep-cheep in the run-up. Vendors have got 6 days to get rid of stock, lol.

Did you get nothing from them? I didn't like 25i (body load grim), 25c was a bit meh. 25b was stunning - no extreme body load, amazing visuals, excellent euphoria. Can still recall end of a gig (which was stunning, ofc), lights go up...fuckin rainbow halos everywhere, lol. I'll remember it very fondly. Then getting lost on the way back :D

Highly unimpressed by the letter from the ACMD to the Home Secretary:

In early June 2012 the ACMD became aware of a suspected 6-APB (“Benzofury”)-related death at the Scottish RockNess Music Festival, although this turned out not to be related to 6-APB, ACMD was prompted to review this series of chemicals.

Glad to know the UK's rigorous system of banning chemicals is based on an article in The Scottish Sun which in turn was based on a tweet by a teenager about a drug he didn't take.
 
And if you read as part of toxicology to support banning, they mention that users report similar effects to MDMA - oh noes! lol. I guess if we all write TRs for new RCs outlining how much like alcohol they are, all will be fine and dandy :D
 
Surely the vendors will slash the prices or face being left with it after the inevitable ban.

No sigh of a price crash yet. on 1 or 2 days to get rid.

Most places I ve been looking appear to only have limited stock any way....like 1 -5 grams available but 25g not available.
 
Well, as noted, most keeping ears to the ground saw this was on the horizon a couple of months back. Some would have ensured they were dwindling stock and not overbuying I think. But, yup, they need to get rid by friday.

It will happen - s'pose it's a game of chicken between the vendors. Who breaks first :D

ABE: first one breaks, lol. Mainly 6-apb.
