New opioid users thread a.k.a. I didn't feel anything!?

think about it this way though doordie .. those dilaudid may be able to actually help you taper a lil bit .. i know its going to take some time and effort . but its gonna help ya no matter what you do i would set a very small but doable taper plan like say you use 10-12 80s a day .. try getting by with 8 or 9 for a while .. and use the dilaudid if you happen to feel some withdrawl or just to help feel normal / ease pain easier but dont try anything too drastic.
 
Yeah I hear ya Light, I'm going to try that out... Once I can get to around 3-4 OC's day, im going to try to switch to methadone to come off... Like how it was done in Rehab.. I came off with no withdrawls.. just a ton of joint paint and aches and horrible insomnia.. Not looking forward to that..

No offense but joint pain/aches/insomnia sounds like withdrawal to me but if those were the only symptoms you experienced then I'd say you got off pretty light!

What do you mean like was done in rehab? They used methadone to move you off your drug of choice? How long were you in rehab for?
 
I didn't feel much from opiates maybe the first 10 times. Then I figured that the effects can be very subtle, so once you tap into that, you can enjoy the high. I find the best place to experience them is just sitting on the computer, maybe with some low music playing. Dose, then wait for that moment when you realise you are getting pretty mashed.

I've still never had 'euphoria' in the strongest sense of the word, as some have described getting. Usually it's more just a heavy body stone, feeling pretty good and a thought of 'fuck, I love opiates!' Which is kind of worrying... :P

Yep, whenever I use I always do something like just sit back and listen to music or come and check out BL or whatever. When I went to a party on codeine once, it seemed somewhat less of an experience. :\

Well your prescribed these medications like you say .. then obviously you need them .. so just get down to a point where you can still control your pain at a lower level of meds ..

what i dont understand is that you say youve been to rehab on more than occasion .. do you honestly need these meds .. because anyone with real pain , taking the meds as prescribed .. DOESNT end up in rehab ... id talk to your doctor and have your prescriptions put down to an amount that allows you just enough to get by .. because whatever your doing right now , isnt working ...

Totally. I'm still in the opiate limbo, a little past 'naive' but still not totally feeling the effects.

To get a decent nod nowadays I take half-to-a-whole ecstacy pill & then oxy no more than an hour later. I figure this gets the nucleus accembens pumping so that I can actually nod (I usually throw in some weed too).



Can anyone else comment on stimulant (or otherwise) and opiate combos for beginners?

I've read elsewhere that ritalin will help the nod, I'll definately try it.
 
Well if it counts the first time i ever got my hands on an actual oxy 80 .. i blew about 20 mg with a 10 rock of primo coke .. and needless to say i didnt move from the couch for a good 30 minutes or more .. i wouldnt say it increased the high , considering i was already into percocet at the time and knew the effects of the drug .. but the Euphoria was far greater than each drug on its own .. or the opiate on its own ..

so i can SLIGHTLY contest to that fact . but i would definatly not say that it Instigates the "nod"
 
Stimulants will definitely add to the euphoria but will prevent you from nodding.

The combo in fun, but I like using opiates for a stimulant comedown so I can enjoy both substances on their own more or less.
 
Using the cocaine actually did not prevent me from nodding whatsoever .. it just prevented me feeling the opiate until the coke wore off then plunged into the opiate blanket without skipping a beat .. i came in my pants when that happened. it felt good ..

last time i added in ritalin is wasnt nodding, but i was very euphoric, and i loved just listening to music and posting on some message boards, it was a great high, while when i take opiates without ritalin i just get some music enhancement but thats all, no high, even doesnt work for my social anxiety

just because the high feels so differend when i add in ritalin, i really wonder why that happends, its not just synergie, its like suddenly going from nothing getting kicked in the high

what do you feel when you take opiates on their own? i've just chewed 80mg oxy, and i get some music enhancement (really not much), dont notice any boost in my mood and feel a little more tired (cafeine used to be a better high when i hadnt any tolerance for that), i also feel very irritable! and socially anxious as usual
what do you feel when you smoke weed? i get nothing from weed apart from feeling way more anxious and some weird feeling right after inhaling but thats gone soon
while when i smoke weed when i've taken E, in the comedown or something it feels normal

also do you suffer from any disorders?

I know when i get up in the morning i do a fair size shot of feen but it doesnt get me high just makes me feel normal. I know this is because of my tolerance. I will then take a cpl clonipin and do another usually 60mg shot and then smoke a little weed. It seems that if i follow this routine i can continually feel this euphoria or whatever especially if im just chillin(music,vid-games or whatever). However, if i smoke weed when i am sober it gives me the worst feelings in the world,paranoia,chest pains,ringing in my ears etc. I have been able to keep my tolerance down to 210mg per day for a while now, with the occasional extra 30. I hope i contributed something here
 
When i first did opiates i snorted 20mg oxy and was complateley wasted.

Seems like i was one of the lucky ones haha8)
 
First time i saw an oxy my friend gave me 2 40's and i didnt believe they were really like 8 percs like he said. Well i washed off the coating and ate 1 of them. I was a believer after that! I got off great

Just FYI you realize that wiping the coating off doesn't do anything to the time-release. You have to crush the pill up as finely as possible to defeat the mechanism.

If you had done that though, with no tolerance, you probably wouldn't have enjoyed the 40 as much because it would've all been released at once and probably made you sick as shit.

i took some ritalin and right now i'm pretty high, i do say this high is very subtle, but its awesome when you get to know how it really is, i can totally understand that some experienced opiate users here think i didnt feel the high because its so subtile
i'm really enjoying a conversation with my parents now, this is a good thing because i really used to be a closed book for them

So you are saying that the coating does nothing to slow down the absorbtion? Well i know that the pill still has to dissolve but taking the coat off does allow your stomach to start immediately dissolving the pill right? I know im not that dumb. Just FYI, I gave the other to a friend who just swallowed it coating and all and he got sick as hell anyway. And I have never gotton sick off any opiate. But like I said this was the first time I had ever seen an oc. It was right when they hit the market. I do my meds IV now so I dont have to worry about what will make it work faster. But thanks for your concern i think
