Good question! Well, as you can probably tell from most of my posts, cocaine began to completely consume me. I spent nearly 5 years trying to perfect the entire cleaning process, and in that process, spent nearly all of my time and money, either talking about cocaine, or doing cocaine. All in all, over the past 5years, I've spent probably somewhere in excess of $100K.....easily on just cocaine alone.
My old MO used to be binges that would last for two or three days, and then I'd take 3-4 days off. Over the course of the last 5 years, I began doing something I always said I'd never do, and that was start using every single day. Old interests started taking a backseat to my use of cocaine. I'd just stay in and do coke all day long. My work, and obviously my marraige started to takes it's toll. My nestegg started to disappear right before my very eye's, and I just kept on doing it.
So, for you and all others out there, the warning signs are your usage picking up slowly, your old favorite interests lose their luster, you start talking about it all the time, your relationships take a back seat to your cocaine, and you start looking like shit. You start running out of money and your best friends/wife etc. may actually tell you you've got a problem. If this happens, you do!
Just be careful, it's a creeper. Any changes in your lifestyle due to cocaine use, is an early warning sign of problems ahead. PLUR.
